Why do athiests judge Christianity as a bad religion, but they say nothing is wrong with their own religion? Do you have reasons for why Christianity is wrong other than that we are stupid? Please, no mean comments I just wish to know. If you must know, I don't care if you are athiests, I have friends that are. It is not my place to judge. This has always puzzled me though.

Okay I think she understand by now that it's not a religion, but why exactly can't you answer the question? Possibly because it's true and a good point being made, and you know this. Therefore you have to try to make the girl feel stupid so you won't have to address your problem?

Why do Mono-atheist Christians judge Paganism as a bad religion, but they say nothing is wrong with their own religion? Do you have reasons for why Wicca is wrong other than that you think them stupid? Please, no mean comments I just wish to know. If you must know, I don't care if you are a Mono-atheist, I have friends that are Roman Catholics. It is not my place to judge. This Christian Bigotry has always puzzled me though.

The Crusades. The Inquisition. Martin Luther. Savonarola. Pat Robertson. Just t name a few.

There is a long, bloody, brutal history behind some of the most popular religions in the world today...this is often because they spread through violence in the past. Some religions still use violence to achieve their goals, such as radical Islam.

There is no evidence for gods. So from my position as an atheist, it does not make sense to dictate my life as if a god existed or to believe in things without evidence.

Atheist is not a religion. I can't speak for all of us, but any problem I have with it are the parts that lead to bigotry and things that have been done in the past in the name of God and Christianity (like the Crusades, Manifest Destiny, and the witch hunts). Most of my family are devout Christians. I respect the good works (the charities and such) they do, but the narrow-mindedness of SOME Christians bugs me.

People like this may have something to do with it.
interficio_pravusMember since: August 24, 2006
interficio_pravus "Are anti-christian bashers in Yahoo mostly sodomites or are they just muslim?
One group is infested with a biological virus and the other with a psychological one. "
In one answer, he refers to Mohammed as
"the pedophile murderer of the innocent is no inspiration for any just law. " He also shows his bigotry for gays any chance he gets.
If you want to know why so many people (not just atheists) have such a bad feeling about Christians, place blame where blame is due. Fundamentalists do more to destroy Christianity than anything else. And I have nothing against Christianity as a whole (I was raised Catholic), I have a big problem with hate filled bigots such as interficio, though.

Atheism is not a religion... and there is plenty of evidence of bad things having to do with Christianity.

I never said that atheism is perfect... it is a wise man that can see flaws in their life and either deal with them or ignore them. Being an atheist is sometimes one the most painful thing I've ever endured... truth hurts at times. But I'll take belief in facts any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

As stated above, atheism is not a religion, it is a lack of religion if anything. I don't specifically have a problem with christianity, I dislike all religions alike.

My main reasons for disliking religion is that all religions are based on ignorance and intolerance and further in promoting ignorance and intolerance.

An example of religious ignorance: "the universe was created 6,000 years ago"

An example of religious intolerance: "homosexuality is wrong and a sin"

Nuff said.

Atheist don't have religions, that's why their atheist.
They say Christianity is wrong cuz they can't stand it that the facts are in their face, proving that there is a God, cuz they know that they would then have to live righteous.
They can't handle the truth.
That's why they judge Christianity.

Sweetie, some people don't have religion. Not everyone worships somebody else. Some people don't want or need religion and that should be respected. It's really not that hard to understand even though it may be a difficult concept for you to grasp due to your indoctrination.

I'm going to give you this answer plain and simple. Atheists don't believe in God because they have hatred in their hearts. That's why they're so mean. We know that God is Love....and they are Anti-God or Anti-Christ.....(meaning they have an Anti-Christ spirit...or demon if you will) And that's why they have so much hatred in their hearts toward Christians because they hate God.
I could see if they could accept Christians for who they were....
But the fact that they go to the extent of hating them for no reason except that they love God is just an example of pure hatred for God and any believer. If you don't have God..how can you have Love in your heart? It's impossible....because God is love. They have no reason to hate us...but they do...
And when someone hates you for no reason at all? It's generally associated with envy and jealousy. Just pray for them because some of them will be changed. Go and Be blessed in Jesus' name sweetie. :)
