As an american society we shun at a fact when a man is accused of hitting a woman yet at the same time if a woman is beating up a guy with her hands or an object as a bat for some reason we see it as less violence and/or in fact are willing to believe that the emotionality of women make them less responsible for their actions. If we as a society believes in full equality then we should view women who commit the same act as men in the same light

Because we live in a hypocritical world with double standards.

Who can hit harder or do more physical damage is beside the point. We are weighing evils by the severity the victim happens to endure... not by the act itself. A rather unjust philosophy when it comes to the legal systems methods of enacting punishments. From a Karmatic perspective, it works for me, but I lack faith in Karma as a reliable way of getting my justice.

If a woman feels its okay to hit to get her point across then she better be willing to be on the receiving end of it from time to time. I believe in equality and fairness... and that is as fair as I can be. If a woman doenst believe in the physical or emotional abuse then she wont get it from me, either. If there is one thing I cannot stand and will not put up with from a woman it is "female superiority" and "female rights". Any woman showing a hint of this arrogant, self-righteous state of mind will be dumped in a heart-beat.

The reason why mens abuse by women is less known is because men are too prideful to let something like that be known to the public, family and friends.

Women, on average, are viewed as more sensitive than men due to having much less upper body strength compared to the average male.

I agree with you on one thing though. This should not affect the consequences of violence committed by one member of a gender group to another. Rather, it should be determined by the extent of damage caused by the violence, not the gender.

Right or wrong, it's because violence by men against women seems to be worse because by and large, men are larger and stronger than women.
Women, however, DO get arrested, tried, and convicted for spousal abuse as well. Make no mistake.

In our society men have the role of warier. We fight we play at fighting and our culture prizes the tough macho spirit. Woman is not taught to fight and is trained in other ways of controlling her enviroment . Men who are abused are considered weak and not much of a man. WE are the protectors or we are failures. right ow wrong its the way we are
