I think what Christians are referring to here is the philosophy known as "scientific materialism" which posits that the entire universe and all life thereon was somehow created by a random set of events.
This doesn't mean that one has to reject all science or even that the idea of evolution (or some form of it) is wrong, but it is the idea that scientists in their arrogance believe they can explain everything without God, when most of us know at a inner levels, whether religious or not, that there is a God and we are deeply connected to our Creator.

Technically gravity is what caused the creation of the earth, rocks colliding until eventually they formed a planet. So technically creationists shouldn't accept gravity.
Also, SCIENTIFIC THEORIES ARE NOT THE SAME AS EVERY DAY THEORIES.

It is because some Christians just have difficulty with reality. I.E. that science is a living and falsifiable methodically which has contributed more to the understanding of everything - where their source of 'truth' comes from a 2000 year old book which is of doubtable value when looking at morality let alone facts.

ha ha ha that is so right..... science answers our questions with arguments that we can understand and agree, i dont understand how some people can dissaprove the obvieus. evolutionism is not a religion but a theory, one that can be proved as right

One is a theory with abundant scientifically proven flaws and the other is a scientific fact.
Science does not contradict the bible - only unproven theories do!

and the wind followers that make up stories of hurricanes and storms so powerful that they can knock down a house...really how can something that i cannot see knock my house down?
and these people that claim that we can measure the wind with science. that is just demonic tricks. how do i know what thet meeter measures. it measures SATAN, and only shows anything because he is the one holding it....

Because Gravity is not a theory friend it is proven and observable. In my opinion Evolution today falls more into the philosophy category.
