There are so many similar stories that predate Christ decades and even centuries before

Buddah: Born of a virgin, called the light of the world.

Osiris: Died on a tree and was resurrected.

Horus: Born of a virgin, considered Lord of Lords and King of Kings.

There are many others Mithra, Sungod of Persia, Krishna of India, Prometheus of Greece

The thing is, is that christians think that Christ's story is unique and that there were no others like Christ. However as you can see there are a lot of similarities among the different religions which leads me to conclude that the story of Jesus Christ is not original but is the compilation of all of these other stories to make it sound like one person.

Never mind the fable mongers. Anyone who had ever bothered to study the Christian religion and the Bible had discovered that there is nothing original in Christianity. It's a mixture of pagan rituals and plagiarized myths of other religious writings. If we are to accept religious stories as evidence, we will end up with contradictory evidence. There are many different religious stories from many different religious traditions, and these stories contradict each other... Religious stories cancel each other out. For every story there is another equally credible story that contradicts it, and contradictory evidence is self-defeating--it is like having no evidence at all!

It's very simple. All these situations that you've mentioned have all been dispelled. Jesus himself says, " all those that came before me were robbers and thieves. All the way back to the book of Genesis it was foretold that a savior was coming. Some of those you mentioned actually do not pre date Christ's appearance, but not the prophecy that he was coming. The Bible is coded and if one doesn't have the keys , he cannot break the code. Those Jews were very clever. Only Jesus can give a man the keys as he did in the book of Mathew ch 16 vs 13-18. He gave them to Peter and he used those keys to let people into the kingdom of God. By the way, I am not a Christian, Christian is a Roman Term. I am a Spiritual Jew. Any more questions!

I'm not sure i understand the logic. So many, that none is true. Is that what you are saying ?

Christians know of the story of Mithras that predates Christ's. But the story of Mithras is fantasy like that of Hercules. And so is the story of the Hindu god Krishna et al. A few similarities exist and too many dissimilarities. Not a good reason to throw the baby out with the bathwater.

So How come you find all the other stories to be true, when you were not there nor evidence is provided to you except for other people's researches but you can not find Jesus story to be true.

That is the mysticism of the world. that the Holly Spirit came to convict the world of sin.

As you can see those were localized events and stories, Jesus story has expanded to the whole world, has also motivated changes in the world that (even if used to do wrong) they have influenced mankind to a great deal.

All this other pseudo-gods are gone, they where only material things and myth, Jesus world as said is spiritual and above us, and inside us, and around us. Nobody will put him down.

The devil knows more than what you think, although not enough:
Genesis 1:15
I will put enmity between you and the woman,
and between your offspring [5] and her offspring;
he shall bruise your head,
and you shall bruise his heel.”

Psalm110:1 (Long way before Christs announcing his coming and up lifting)
The Lord says to my Lord:
“Sit at my right hand,
until I make your enemies your footstool.”

Acts 2:34
For David did not ascend to heaven, and yet he said,
" 'The Lord said to my Lord:
"Sit at my right hand
35until I make your enemies
a footstool for your feet."

Your Question is not original, it has been asked before; Does that make it invalid?
Of course, the Christian stories are based on the past experiences of the Jewish peoples , the Egyptian & Babylonian Exiles would have influenced and shaped the stories and Myths that the Jewish peoples collected.

Yes Mithras was born in a cave on Dec25th.
To a first Century jew , a story of Jesus Without miracles would have been incomplete.
Paul, a Roman citizen from Tarsus would have been well versed in the Mystery religions which practised initiation rites such as Baptizm.

What point are you trying to make?
Are you telling me that Jesu's unique ethical teaching "let he who is without guilt cast the first stone...", and his unique treatment of women's rights in a patriarchal society, are somehow not important, or are invalidated ?

Do people actually think before they answer? Predates means BEFORE. If you take the story of Jesus, the flood or any other bible story almost all of them have been told before the bible was written. Wake up Christian Holiday's are pagan. Even the days of the week are pagan. Thursday is named after Thor. Is there anything original to christian mythology? Remember read Left to Right up to down take a couple of aspirin if it hurts to much.

You know, I actually think all these stories may be related somehow. Maybe they are all actually one embodiment, its story twisted and changed over time. Or just a trickster who fooled the world until the end of Earth with a silly story.

But yes, there is no way to prove that Jesus Christ ever existed.

Horus of Egypt is another one. That Zeitgeist movie goes into detail about this subject. Just reading some of the answers here...I mock these cretins for not using logic and they deny being illogical. The analogy I like to use is that they are like a man with water up to his neck saying over and over, "The boat is not sinking. The boat is not sinking..."

Christians say that the story of jesus is true because it is stated in the Bible and all Christians believe in the Bible.

Those who propagate these alleged similarities depend on reader ignorance and laziness. They know most people won't take the time to investigate their sources (if they even provide any legitimate sources to back up their misinformation).

If you search the web for similarities between Jesus and pagan deities, you will be met with countless results presenting the same erroneous material which provide no original religious sources to validate their claims. However, if you search unbiased resources such as educational books regarding religion, the texts of the religion in question, or even encyclopedias you will be presented with straightforward information free of personal conjecture.

After examining the actual texts of the religions in question most similarities will be found to not even exist but to have been fabricated by authors who prey upon the reader's ignorance of foreign religions. Another important thing to keep in mind is that the prophecies concerning Jesus span approximately 450 to 1,500 years BEFORE His birth. The accusation of Christians plagiarizing the accounts of other figures in the first century ignores the fact that concepts such as the virgin birth, the resurrection, and a Father-Son, relationship precede most of these "similar" pagan figures.

-----Edit-----
But Christ's story IS unique. Jesus' entire purpose in coming was to willingly offer Himself as a sacrifice for our sins and to restore our relationship to a Holy God. Once you do a little investigation into *original sources*, you'll find that the differences between Jesus and pagan deities far outweigh any superficial or contrived similarities.

Also, Christ changed my life. There is a marked difference in my life before Jesus compared to my life after Jesus. I now have a personal relationship with the Living God through my Savior. Which of those pagan deities mentioned in your post can anyone honestly say that about?

-----Edit-----
As for the book Akimbo referenced by Kersey Graves - much of his material is highly speculative, inaccurate, and entirely without references to source material. Do you believe everything you read or see on t.v.? Or do you investigate it for yourself?
