The gospel is inspired by God. Theology is man's way of trying to understand and interpret God which is why it takes so many forms.

Wllfie, The original words of the Bible may have been inspired by God but those who copied it, edited it, censored it, printed it, translated it and revised it were NOT. That is where the problems come in. Much of the original Bible has been lost iretreivably. Also much has been cut out and ommitted based on arbitrary and political whims and decisions of MEN. The Bible, as it exists today is NOT the Bible as was "inspired" to the original people who put it into writing for the very FIRST time.
Therefore, I would agree with the consensus that even the Bible is NOT of God, but is a work of HUMANS, as WELL as Theology is of Humans as well.

Theology is of man that's true. No evidence that there even is a god though so it's implausible that the gospel is of anything other than man as well.

Yes. It is, of course, a matter of belief, and unfortunately as the other answers show, the belief in a God (which by the by can be proven easier than fish turning into monkeys, then to man....you believe THAT?)
Man may have written the bible, but it was inspired of God, as the bible says. Man has, and always will, twisted it as time goes on to fit MANS desires so he can continue to sin and "do it if it feels good," or man just simply chooses to not believe. That way they dont have to be responsible for the choices they make.

No.
The Holy Spirit interprets the Bible to us. It is that interpretation that dictates theology.
Denomination/Church Politics/Church Polity is of man, not theology...

Yes, of course it's true. We see through a glass darkly, we do not understand the mysteries of God, and yet he has made plain what he wants us to know.
