The obvious answer is that islam is not peaceful. Too many Muslims will claim that the foreign policies of USA, Israel, even the UK are to blame. They will say this is the excuse for their terrorism. I will say that is so wrong and just another excuse. The quran is the source of their terrorism. The USA's first experience with islamic terrorism came as soon as we became a nation. No longer under the protection of the Royal Navy, US ships were attacked by Muslims from Tripoli and 3 other Muslim countries. Our crews were held for ransom, sold into slavery and some were beheaded. They demanded taxes to leave our ships alone. Blackmail! This is the 1780s. We didn't have any foreign policies! An ambassador from Tripoli told Thomas Jefferson I believe in 1786(?) that the Laws of prophet Muhammad and of the Koran gave them the right to tax and fight the unbelievers. This is why Thomas Jefferson had a Koran. He wanted to understand the beliefs of Musselmen (Muslims). He had to understand the enemy. Now we have to do the same.

God Bless.

Without questioning the number provided I will say the answer is simple: because of one of two reasons:

(1) Certain Muslims (either because of their interpretation of Islam or some other reason) acted aggressively and provoked others to attack them.

(2) Certains Muslims were attacked by others and were defending themselves.

So, in every single case, either the Muslims started the fight with others, or others started the fight with Muslims. But that should have been obvious!

Now, Book Man, I came here after you answered one of my questions (my most recent one, on Bible Only Christianity), and accused me of being a Muslim grasping for straws. Being that you block private messaging, e-mails, et cetera, I'll tell you here: I am not a Muslim. Reread the question you responded to, and you'll see that in the text of that very question, I talk about how I am considering converting to Catholicism or Orthodox Christianity.

You just count 44? There are lot more when European invaders were colonialising Muslim countries (like mine) for few hundred years in the name of "Gold, Gospel and Glory" (new trinity?). When Southeast Asia was under Western colonisation, all freedom fighters were labeled terrorists by the British, the Dutch and the Spanish.

There was some wars because without them the religion would be destroyed.. Christians made lots of wars too.. but that does not mean that all religions are religions of terror..
Also There was rules for Muslim wars:
Do not kill Children.
Do not kill old people, or women.
Do not harm trees..
and lots of such rules..
Peace people.. we need peace!! do not say bad things about other religions..

You do have to fight sometimes ot establish peace, don't you? Will you not fight a murder who is trying to murder you? Will you not fight a robber who is trying to rob you?

Sometimes you DO have to fight back when people are bent upon destroying your peace.
