For anyone who doesn't know what that was. It was a pole with a wheel on one end and a toy horses head on the other.So you stuck it between your legs (no comments please! lol) and jumped about pretending that you were riding a horse.
My sisters grandkids were here yesterday, and my hubby played pretend hobbie horses with them. Can you imagine the laughter? Three kids, 4 6 and 8 following a 68 year old kid round my kitchen, shouting giddy up but not a horse between them. lmao

It goes as follows:
"Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then is he impotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then is he malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Whence cometh evil then? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?"
God could stop giving kids cancer and stuff, but he doesn't. He allows things like the holocaust. There is way too much evil and suffering for there to be an omniscient caring creator. And if God created the devil and allows him to operate, God is complicit in all evil.
When I came to this conclusion on my own at about age 20 I became an agnostic. Have you pondered this question?

My sister came yesterday, and the present she brought was wonderful. Sorry if it sounds a long story but I just have to share this one!
Sis still lives in my home town. They have had a Heritage Day, it was funded by the National Lottery. On display were things from the local museum and old photos of where I lived!
They also made a book with audio tape which my sis bought me. There is a photo of my Grandad in there, ( who I adored) taken in 1947 when he was a founder member of a social club, which is still there today, except it's bigger and modern now.
On the display was an original photo of my mum with her mum, which I've never seen and my sis has ordered a copy for me. That is so special cos I lost my mum when she was 32.
In those days, no one could afford a home camera like we have today, so there are hardly any photos of mum with her mum and I'm just so lucky I will soon have one!
So my question is : How can my day get better than that? x

I think this all the time about Christians 'Why are you so delusional, there is no God. If there was why would he let people die of famine and disease...................'
I think the Christians are like 'How can you not believe, it's in the Bible, how much proof do you need'!
We may never agree because we are (in our own minds) right.

Alot of you guys on here just talk about bad things in religion like wars and prejudice but religion does not teach war or prejudice ppl choose to do so.
How come nobody on here talks about the good in religion like my church every year we hold fundraisers to help ppl in 3rd world countries ive never heard of any athiest organizaton doing anything to help anyone. Look at the christians childrens fun they do so much good in the name of god. What about martin luther king he was a preacher and taught tru christianity love and equality.
And another thing why do athiest on here act like religous ppl are all stupid look at albert einstein he was jewish and arguably the smartest man of the 20th century.
You guys act like we christians go around enslaving you for like 200 yrs and then when your free not giving you equal rights for a 100 yrs like serously what are you guys so mad about when was the athiest holocuast that i missed. i just dont understand the hostility.

Why, if there really is a God, do believers think He is such a jerk? What I mean is:
- Why do we imagine He would ever have anything CLOSE to the weak, over-emotional characteristics of man?
- Why do we think, if He could make a Universe, that He would be such a dunce as to get jealous, wrathful, vengeful or ticked off for stupid reasons?
- Why do we imagine He would be silly enough to play "head games" just to "test" us?
- Why do we think He was in EVERYBODY'S face all the time over 2000 years ago, but now, He's nowhere to be seen, EVER?
- Why do humans give Him ANY human emotions at all? Why would we not think He was way above all the petty, childish, reactionary behaviour of humans?
- Why do we think He'd be so insecure as to NEED our unending worship & praise, day in & day out?
- Why do we not respect Him enough to think Him far superior to us in every way imaginable?
The God of Abraham is painted in a very poor light, according to humans.

why do so many get defensive towards christians who say that God will punish those who not worship God correctly? who ever wrote in the bible that God is a push over or softie? He does love all, but that love is conditional.what is unconditional is that He loves all,no matter the age,sex,race,etc. but He will punish all who defy,deny, and make light of him.

I remember there is a verse in the Bible, but I cant find it, it goes something like this:
"In the last days" says the Lord "I will pour my spirit upon the Earth, and you old men will dream dreams, and maidens will prophecy, (some thing else)......and whoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved"

I saw the term "god-fearing people" and it made me think.
before anyone instantly comes with the argument that they don't believe in god or that they worship the devil etc, think beyond the religous side and more to the concept of god.
If he is a merciful creator etc, why would people need to fear god?

me and my boyfriend were sentenced to community sentencing for pot and firearms. the crimes carried a 20 to life sentence. we were given 8 years community sentencing. it,s been approxmently 6 months and we are doing well, my boyfriend has completly quit smoking marijuana for the first time in 20 years he recieved a clean ua. i just want to thank the judge for taking a chance on us and that we are very thankful for her decision in our case.
