Are there any Intellectuals who would connect to me on here so that I can actually find some interesting questions to ponder and answer. I am an atheist but so long as you're not a fundamentalist all are welcome.

The Hypno Pope, I stand corrected. Birdflies, Wow that's quite a leap, how/why did you jump to the conclusion that I'm only looking for people that agree with me? It would be pretty pointless to join a forum for debate if you only wanted confirmation of you already knew.

I'm a Christian, but I like to think of myself as being fairly intelligent. :) I'm a creationist who also believes in evolution, and who has no qualms about reading Richard Dawkins or Sam Harris. Hence, why I own two Dawkins books, and one Harris. I'm reading both The God Delusion and The Blind Watchmaker right now. :) I hope your time here is productive!

But, please, define intellectual.
Also define 'fundamentalist' Surely it means one who follows the basic fundamentals. The term , therefore, is abused.
Stephen Neill once challenged Christians, "Hold to Christ, and for the rest be totally uncommitted" Surely that is reasonably open-minded
As for the questions...just keep tuned in, you will find some, at least.

my advice to you is to connect to people only after a certain period of time here and get to know them well first
we have some trolls here who through being your contact will go through your Q&A and report them if they do not agree with your beliefs
so be very careful sweetie ok
this is religion and spirituality here.... things arent always nice
but there are many many great people here from all belief systems though
you will find out who they are eventually

Good to hear from you.
I am not an intellectual and I am a Muslim.
But a good friend of mine who was an atheist died two days ago. I would wonder what atheists think happens to his soul when he dies.
I respected this man a lot and he was my neighbor. He was a leader in the local American community. I will miss him.

try philosophhy and psychology and then science and have a wander around its a big place with lots of potential friends

Never set limitations to who your friends should and should not be. You'll miss out on some really interesting connections. You're already sounding like a fundamentalist (atheist).

I'm both a christian and an intellectual (I study things like psychology and medicine, and I love doing research). So yes, I would connect with you as long as there is respect on both our parts.
