How come athiest on this site hate religion?

Alot of you guys on here just talk about bad things in religion like wars and prejudice but religion does not teach war or prejudice ppl choose to do so.

How come nobody on here talks about the good in religion like my church every year we hold fundraisers to help ppl in 3rd world countries ive never heard of any athiest organizaton doing anything to help anyone. Look at the christians childrens fun they do so much good in the name of god. What about martin luther king he was a preacher and taught tru christianity love and equality.

And another thing why do athiest on here act like religous ppl are all stupid look at albert einstein he was jewish and arguably the smartest man of the 20th century.

You guys act like we christians go around enslaving you for like 200 yrs and then when your free not giving you equal rights for a 100 yrs like serously what are you guys so mad about when was the athiest holocuast that i missed. i just dont understand the hostility.

1st off I never said athiest dont donate money I said ive never heard of an athiest organizationthat does. and this is what Im talking about most of you guys get so angry and most of you are just as judgmental as alot of christians.

Everyone will do bad things no matter if there religous or not stop blaming religion its ppl not the religion jesus never teaches to harm anyone.

religion does not teach war or prejudice, but it can cause these things.

And just because you cant find any 'atheist' organisations doesn't mean that atheists are mean, unloving, uncaring, ungrateful and uncharitabl people. Stop lumping 'atheists' together as an 'organisation'. Why should 'organisations' have to help the world? have you ever heard of 'individuality'? And since when does the "religious-ness" of an organisation determine how much good it does? Who cares if the organisation or people are Christian or atheist or anything else? What matters most are the kindness and caring of the people who are behind the organisations and donations. Religion doesn't matter!!!!

See - there is a huge difference between the religions. A religion such a Christianity is very agressive and that makes people oppse it. If Christianity could shut up and mind its own business, it would be more accepted. But through time, and still today, Christianity in out in the open, trying to convert everything around it. The atheists are merely defending their right to having a life in freedom, where they dont have to arrange their life around something they dont want to believe in for their own reasons.

The jews are not agressive, and the same with Islam. Christianity is, today, the most aggressive religion of them all.

Well, Einstein is a bad example. He was Jewish by birth, not by faith. In actuality he was a deist. The truth of the matter is that there are many intelligent, educated, scientifically trained people who have faith.

There is a new breed of atheist. These people aren't content to just not believe. They are actively seeking to destroy all religion. They don't make any distinction between a major religion like Christianity or Buddhism and superstitious drivel like Voodoo or cult practices. And they are the most unforgiving people in the world, completely unwilling to understand that there are many people who have used religion for their own ends, or who just didn't really understand. They actually believe that just calling yourself by a religious label qualifies you as a follower of the faith. We know that that's not true. Their biggest problem is their pride. They really and truly believe that they are smarter, (seriously, they call themselves the brights, which means that we must be the dulls) and more forward thinking than other human beings. You don't have to be religious to see the error of this thinking. I personally will match my IQ to anyone's.

i comprehend, that is somewhat unhappy and disappointing. I accept as true with each thing you're saying right here different than for the info that that is often human beings. There are some particularly hardcore religious human beings by way of the international. right here in united statesa. we can placed human beings down and take care of them poorly and discriminate against them in line with religious ideals, that I thoroughly renowned. although, it somewhat is incredibly uncommon and remarkable for a citizen to explode a bus or set off off a highway area bomb to further our religious ideals. shall we be lots worse. we are an in depth minded human beings in fairly some methods however. that is particularly unhappy once you think of of the excuses why American even somewhat got here into existence. i assume we forgot.

Religion causes more misery and divisiveness among the human race than it does any good.

Right now I'm reading "A History of The End Of The World" (don't have the author's name handy right now), about Revelation and the impact it's had on society. Do you realize how damaging your beliefs have been to humanity? Do you realize that Christians the world over (including in our own government) are cheering on and _perpetuating_ the violence in Isreal and the middle east because they believe it will bring them closer to the end of the world? I don't believe in your stupid book of fairy tales and I find the situation sick and depraved.

The hostility is because you Christians try to get your dogma in our schools, courts and government. I had to pull my Son out of Grad two because christian children kept on telling him his gay dads were going to hell and that he was going there too and that we would all burn together forever. Christians have very little respect for others in this world and only want everyone to be like them.
