Which Jewish temple?

Most of the Christian mythology I've ever learned has heaven with only one main gate, where St. Peter sits. After you die, you're supposed to meet him at that gate (if you go to heaven).

Other stories have it that everyone goes to meet St. Peter at the gates of heaven, and then he lets you know if you get to go in or if you go to hell.

In any case, I've never heard it mentioned that heaven had more than one gate, or anything at all to do with a Jewish temple.

What? There is no gate to heaven. Why would god need a gate? He cant stop ppl from coming in? Sorry, but theres no gate. That wouldnt make any sense.
