You're good. You weren't invited to dinner with them or anything, so they don't care. Trust me.

At work, let your boss bring up the subject. If he seems to be hinting, but not coming right out and saying that he saw you, say something like 'on, did you like the food at-----? I saw you, but didn't want to disturb you.' Even if you're not believed, your attempt at correcting an awkward situation may be noticed-and appreciated.

On the other hand, if he seems to think it was no big deal, don't go out of your way to bring it up. Some bosses don't like the idea of socializing with workers, anyway. Play it by ear.

Hi! Just repeat the same thing! Tell him that you seen him but were not able to say Hello! Wouldn't he understand that? or do you think he might question wether you were avoiding him or not! obviously it is bothering you! So a least speak to him about it! Good Luck!

What's to 'redeem'? Just say that you saw them, and you didn't think it was appropriate to interrupt his evening. If he tells you "Oh, you should have come over," then you'll know he likes you, and he appreciated your thoughtfulness. If he says,"Thanks, it was family night out," then you'll know he doesn't like you but he still appreciates your thoughtfulness.

Nothing is necessary. They're not your OWNERS and you weren't on THEIR TIME, so you owe them nothing. If they say "hey, I saw you at the restaurant the other day," THEN you can say "I THOUGHT that was you, I was on my way out."

Just say "Did I see you at ____ the other night?" When he says yes you just say "Oh I thought so, but I didn't want to bother you during dinner." If he says well you should have, you say "Well next time I will." If he says oh well thats ok, you can say "Next time, don't be so shy."
