When it comes to the blessings from God, it's hard to pick just one. God has changed my life the most when he changed my prospective to an others focus person. The biggest thing that separates true Christians from everyone else is the way we put others before ourselves. Not many nonbelievers are looking out for other people and trying to help others, but are so inward focus and looking for something to help and benefit themselves, that they miss the whole point of living. When you live an others-focus life, you can help so many more people, which is way more rewarding than living any other way (and with any other religion).
I love how when asked what is the greatest commandment or rule we must follow, Jesus says to love and serve God and love and serve others (Matthew 22:37-39). When people expected him to give us another rule to follow, Jesus gave us a meaningful principle to live by. In any situation, we can use this principle and say, 'how can I serve God and others in what I am doing right now'...something that was said 2000 years ago, and yet still applies today.
I guess fantasy sports aren't the only place where people give input when it's not really asked for. It's sad that so many people in this section seem to feel so strongly about what they believe, that they feel that someone can't even ask a question about how God has helped other people without hearing others opinion about your religion. If you can answer the question asked, then answer it. If not, don't inflict your views on others (would you like people to inflict there views on you...especially when none of these answers give any reasoning behind why they answer like they do). If you don't believe in God, then God will never change your life (because you would never admit it was him). That doesn't mean God hasn't done anything for you and hasn't help you to have good times and it doesn't mean he is not there in the bad times. It's like on "The Count of Monte Cristo" when told that someone doesn't believe in God, an imprisoned priest (I'm not Catholic by the way) tells him, "It doesn't matter, God believes in you."

Good for you. The Lord in heaven has been very merciful in my life considering the demon I used to be. I used to be a heavy drug dealer involved in organized crime when I was younger. Put simply, I ruined many lives YET the Lord saved me from all this and bestowed his grace upon me. For those who say there is no "God," are those person who have not found themselves at a point in their lives where they only have #1 to depend on and nothing else. Alot of people get bailed out from having to suffer hard times by loved ones and don't see a need for God. So "far." I had nobody but my mother and a sister when I was your age as my parents were divorced. By the time I was 15 I was a "major" dope dealer, busting heads and controlling a wide territory in the mid west. Sound like an exaggeration, but I was big for my age and already weighed in at 240 pounds then. I had two cars, guns, property, and "money." Most of my friends used to say I'd be the next Al Capone being the late 60's.
What I WAS is not important AS what the Lord has made me INTO. I am an ordained priest of my faith and EXAMPLE to many who knew what I was. Isn't that what it is all ABOUT.
God bless you, and let him do the "driving...."

I wasn't raised in a religious home, so my only real exposure to it was through my extended family, most of whom were Catholic. So, we had to go to Catholic weddings, funerals, things like that. I guess I started to question my own religious beliefs when I was about 14 years old, began to wonder if maybe there was a God, even though my parents told me that they didn't believe in any God. Ironically, this was also when my OCD started showing symptoms and was at its worse, so, I thought that God was somehow ordering these odd compulsions and I became very fearful, which is common for people with disruptive OCD, but, putting the God context to it made it even more frightening. I guess my experience with that turned me off to religion in general, although I do try to keep an opened mind.

I am a Christian Pastor: Believe me when I tell you that you are much too young to hear what I was delivered from.
All the way back to my young years (I am 51 now).
Let's just say that If God had not had a plan for me and changed me from what I was, I would either be murdered or in prison.
Even after being asked to give my testimony by the Pastor of Churches that I sometime visit, they will come up to me after the service and try to convince me that I should "NOT" tell all.
But hey! That is where I was and what I was and it is what Jesus brought me out of.
If I am still on here in about 3 or 4 years ask the same question again and I will email you the facts.

You're definetely not alone - I'm your age, and God's changed my life in the most wonderful ways as well!
It's a great thing that you're willing to testify of His goodness here on Yahoo! Answers. Don't let the other people discourage you here, by the way.
Without the Lord, I'd be making a whole bunch of mistakes in my life, and my mom would be dead. I have peace, joy, patience...God is just SO amazing!
I just know the Lord's going to use you, as young as you are.
God bless you!

Yea its the hard times that really help us to become better and take God's shelter--really--keep up the faith and don't listen to all the atheists- they are like sheep without a shepherd on top of a very steep cliff with a hurricane about to come any day!!! -- While we happily graze in peaceful pastures without worry they can only look at each other and hope they can give each other comfort and cushion each other for the big unknown ahead! That's why they come onto your page and hope you will join their sad team!

I'm sorry that there are so many people who are quick to discourage you. I'm glad that you know God and that you've opened your heart and life to be led by Him.
I was saved when I was 15, but I certainly didn't always act like it. Looking back over the years, I can tell when I was living in obedience to Jesus and when I was living in rebellion based on how my life was going. Life is definitely WAY better with God at the steering wheel. Keep leaning on Him. Keep trusting Him. God bless you!

If a person truly takes stock of themselves and their honest position in the universe, they will see just how incredibly puny they and their worries and goals and egos are.
We are just temporary on this earth. And we think WAY too highly of ourselves!
We're all just little pathetic beasts roaming the fields of the earth, searching for our food, safety and shelter and thinking way too highly of our possessions and our positions.
But we take such absurd paths to search for these basics!
I also agree with David v, I think in the same way - religion is a tool of men.
So ask yourself what is God's religion and start asking more questions. Don't fall into the church-is-holy trap or you'll become just another brain-dead sheep led to slaughter.

He has given me ultimate meaning and purpose for my life
as a whole.
He has etched in my memory to not to easily forget past
circumstances in my life because He's seen and heard things in my life that were in secret or known to someone/people
and has revealed to me the future consequences of such
actions as to the result of my good or bad behavior during
each action that I took. He developed in me to be more keenly aware of my actions or words.
He's given me a desire to want to be a better person
than I was before.
