a museum is defined as: "A building, place, or institution devoted to the acquisition, conservation, study, exhibition, and educational interpretation of objects having scientific, historical, or artistic value"

since creationism is none of these, is it wrong to call it a "museum"?

Matt. 12:31, 32, RS: “Every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. And whoever says a word against the Son of man will be forgiven; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.” (If the Holy Spirit were a person and were God, this text would flatly contradict the Trinity doctrine, because it would mean that in some way the Holy Spirit was greater than the Son. Instead, what Jesus said shows that the Father, to whom the “Spirit” belonged, is greater than Jesus, the Son of man.)
John 14:28, RS: “[Jesus said:] If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I go to the Father; for the Father is greater than I.”

Why is it in this computer age where resources are abundant, that so many people do not have even the most basic math and spelling skills ? Even with spell check available to users, the amount of spelling errors is atrocious. Are people just lazy these days ?

Ok lets get this straight, I am an ATHEIST. I am sure that "God" is not real. My parents are catholics though and they tell me that Christians/Catholics should obey everything in the bible right? Well the bible says it's ok to sell your daughter to slavery, anyone who works on Sunday should be put to death, that people will long hair should be ashamed of themselves (which is funny since "Jesus" has long hair), and that we should stay away from women on their period. Don't believe me?
http://bible.cc/1_corinthians/11-14.htm http://bible.cc/exodus/35-2.htm
http://bible.cc/exodus/21-7.htm
http://bible.cc/leviticus/15-19.htm

If you believe it's your "God", and your "God" is infallible, you can't throw out some of the rules just because you don't like them. So why do you Catholics/Christians/Ignorant people pick and choose what to believe in?

This section is called Religion and Spirituality, not Battle of the Religions. This is a section where people ask religious questions and discuss faith, whether it's right or wrong. Yet people here are demanding that Atheists get out? They have just as much a right to be here and discuss religion. People are ALWAYS trying to convert Atheists - there is NOTHING wrong with standing up for your point of view. True, the Atheists can be rude, but so can the believers - being rude is a HUMAN thing.

Really. Settle down. Discuss religion like a rational human being rather than resorting to a childish, "GET OUT!" Atheists, there are some of you who need to mellow out too.

Why can't we all get along? Stop acting like children, the lot of you.

I've noticed a lot of times when I say I just married and I have two kids, people find it hard to believe that I already have kids. Do people think that muslim women are not allowed to divorce or something? Well, we have that right, and I am one of many women that have used it. One of my close friend in Bosnia also used her right and divorced the father of her child. Do you really find it hard to believe? Islam grants women the right to divorce their husbands even if they just get tired of him, but that was not my reason. We also have the right to first custody of the children, and their father is fourth in line after the maternal blood line has been exhausted. I know it doesn't happen culturally, but as I see it, screw culture. We have the right to remarry as we see fit.

Why do some find it so hard to believe that a muslim woman can remarry while keeping her kids from her previous marriage?

This has never before been an issue, as the moon has been well beyond our reach. However when our ingenuity gives us the option of traveling to the moon and our desperation for resourcess (energy in this case) gives us the incentive, it opens up an ethical question. The moon is of great importance to all life on earth, it is important to all cultures and even sacred to some religions. If someone claims legal ownership of the moon, and intend to exploit it to their gain, there will be people who will object to it. This is a very different case of claiming land than what it was in the age of colonisation, when the first superpowers conquered land by sticking their flag onto it irrespective of the natives living there. The moon is deserted of life, but there is no place on earth where it cannot be seen. That makes it, in my eyes, common property to everyone. We should set the rules regarding the moons ownership soon. I suggest leaving it alone and designating it as a world heritage site.

I looked at the web site for the Creation Museum, and this question occurred to me. So I looked at quite a few other Christian sites, and I get the feeling "Elmer Gantry" was a true story: Christians really seem to be awfully slick at making money, for people who traditionally bad-mouth profit as a motive.

What do you think? Does it all go to support the missions?

I work an an actress, and need to spend a lot of time on set waiting between takes. During these times, I like to occupy myself with readying, studying or drawing, but I don't like to chat. This is because chat on set is always the same questions, the same superficial interest in people around you that you don't know, don't want to and will never see again. They don't know you, they don't really care about what you have to say, and neither do you care about them: they just want to pass the time.

How can I keep to myself, and keep to my book, (avoiding the small-talk) without seeming rude?

Some individual texts that refer to the holy spirit (“Holy Ghost,” KJ) might seem to indicate personality. For example, the holy spirit is referred to as a helper (Greek, pa•ra′kle•tos; “Comforter,” KJ; “Advocate,” JB, NE) that ‘teaches,’ ‘bears witness,’ ‘speaks’ and ‘hears.’ (John 14:16, 17, 26; 15:26; 16:13) But other texts say that people were “filled” with holy spirit, that some were ‘baptized’ with it or “anointed” with it. (Luke 1:41; Matt. 3:11; Acts 10:38) These latter references to holy spirit definitely do not fit a person. To understand what the Bible as a whole teaches, all these texts must be considered. What is the reasonable conclusion? That the first texts cited here employ a figure of speech personifying God’s holy spirit, his active force, as the Bible also personifies wisdom, sin, death, water, and blood. (See also pages 380, 381, under the heading “Spirit.”)
Acts 7:55, 56 reports that Stephen was given a vision of heaven in which he saw “Jesus standing at God’s ri
