Nope , I like spider man , but it's wrong for me to label my children with a spider man sticker. because the next generation is smarter than this dumb generation.

I think Tracey answered your question just fine--she thinks it's a good thing, as does the Bible.
I'd say it's a good thing, with caveats. A child should be free to explore, I think, without the parents freaking out. A responsible parent is going to transmit all their qualities because they spend time with the child. The child will be "branded" with their work ethic, their love of reading, etc. So the child will be "branded" with religion or, if there is an atheist parent, philosophy. It's part of giving them a foundation for the rest of their lives.
There is a reason, however, why I refer to a "child from a Christian family" or a "son of Pagan parents" or a "daughter of a Muslim mother" rather than calling them a Christian or Pagan or Muslim child. The child can't meaningfully accept or reject up to a certain age--they don't know much else. They may have other beliefs brewing in their heads.

Proper education is based on good examples. Are we showing our children an example of altruistic behavior toward others? The answer is probably negative, although we do bring them up to be altruistic when they are young. A child who sees that his or her parents do not “walk the walk, but simply talk the talk,” senses that their words are empty and false. As much as they will try to show children the honorable way to behave, it will be useless.
The crises we are in today, and our perilous future, impel us to make a change. Thus far, we have been teaching our children to do one thing, yet without following our own advice. But now we have no choice. We must change our own egoistic attitude toward others.
As more and more people begin to behave altruistically, the reality that our children will be born into will change, and they will easily grasp what was difficult for us to understand. They will recognize that we are all part of a single system, and that accordingly, our relationships should be altruistic. There is nothing better that we can do for our children and for ourselves.

When one is born to a particular parentage, he will have to accept the fact of the religion to which he is born to.
However, we as parents should teach the basic religion to our children, which means that every body is a soul which is eternal, and being born in a human body is the greatest achievement of all.
The religion which we are following is because of our ancestry and the task is to understand it keeping the basic fact always in mind. Then we can leave it to the child as he grows older.
Remember- the basics should always be strong for a person to learn a subject properly.
