I don't know, I didn't get a chance to ask them and they didn't write their personal opinions about that part of their relationship.

The answer depends on the agenda of the person giving the answer. People who believe Jesus was God walking around in a human shell will point to verses that support their view. Punter pointed out some contrary evidence. Arvin_ian uses a typical propaganda trick of quoting John to make you think the disciples saw him as God. John was an apostle; the concensus of Biblical scholars is that he was too young to be a disciple. He was writing to promote the notion of Jesus as God, the theology that won out after heated debate at the Council of Nicea.
I'll bet you'd have a hard time finding a Biblical literalist preach about Jesus beginning his ministry by reading from Isaiah in the temple. By doing so he was clearly placing himself in the tradition of the prophets, who sought to restore Judaism to the true path, not to replace it with a new religion. Jesus' selection also makes a strong statement for social justice and society's responsibility for the poor, aspects of his message that Christian conservatives bend over backward to deny, belittle, and ignore.

Hello and odd as it may seam Jesus Himself never said He was a prophet, He did several things first in John 8:58 He said He was The I AM and that same name is in Exodus 3, Moses and the burning bush, He also forgave sins [Matt.9:2] only God can do that, in John 1 we read it is said He is the member of The Godhead that created this world in the first place, Jesus in John 3:16 the most famous verse in the bible said that if one BE-LIVES in Him that person will live forever now in order to give eternal life Jesus MUST have it to give, Yes He is INDEED GOD, find out more free bible lessons www.amazingfact.org email me also not messenger wgr88@yahoo.com God bless

Jesus was viewed as the Son of God, almost as if he was God himself, to his disciples and followers. To other people he was considered a teacher, prophet and a good man.

Both, actually.....
Then, there were some who refused to follow any further when they heard him say he was the son of God.....
******someone claimed Word became flesh...and that the word were God's words.
No.... God did not say this... Neither did Christ.... This is how John chose to open the book.

Jesus was viewed as the promised son of God. They knew he was not the allmighty.
That is why Jesus had to do miracles, to convince people he was SENT by the almighty.
You will have fake christians or ignorant christians stating Jesus was The God, but that is not what the bible states. These so called chrisitans are brain washed.

Both actually, the Unitarians saw him a man sent by God and Trinitarians saw him as he is seen today. You can read this from various Gospels such as Thomas, Barnabus etc.
I think they cover this in this documentary at some point, i haven't seen it for while:

THE LORD JESUS CHRIST was prophesied by the Prophet Isaiah (9:6) that HE will be our EVERLASTING FATHER, MIGHTY GOD, WONDERFUL, COUNSELOR, PRINCE OF PEACE., AND THE GOVT WILL BE UPON HIS SHOULDER (as King of Kings). St Paul said that the LORD JESUS CHRIST is our LORD and OUR GOD. Another witness is ST JOHN THE BAPTIST who was commanded by THE LORD GOD to baptize men on the Jordan river and identify the Messiah among them and whom the HOLY SPIRIT will descend upon HIM. Thus, ST JOHN the Baptist declared THE LORD JESUS CHRIST saying behold THE LAMB OF GOD who takes away the sins of the world. The meekest and the King among the Saints is called THE LAMB OF GOD. Also Prophet Mohammad in the book of Hadith prophesied that THE LORD JESUS CHRIST will come again and thus, have the power of GOD and will teach the world islam which means obedience to GOD. Also Mohammad when he was brought by archangel Gabriel to heaven, he saw THE LORD JESUS CHRIST standing at the right hand of GOD while Mohammad remained with the audience of Prophets like him. St Stephen also saw heaven opened and saw the LORD JESUS CHRIST at the right hand of GOD. Thus, THE LORD JESUS CHRIST is a real man and GOD at the same time.
