Alright, children, what's your problem?

Question

This section is called Religion and Spirituality, not Battle of the Religions. This is a section where people ask religious questions and discuss faith, whether it's right or wrong. Yet people here are demanding that Atheists get out? They have just as much a right to be here and discuss religion. People are ALWAYS trying to convert Atheists - there is NOTHING wrong with standing up for your point of view. True, the Atheists can be rude, but so can the believers - being rude is a HUMAN thing.

Really. Settle down. Discuss religion like a rational human being rather than resorting to a childish, "GET OUT!" Atheists, there are some of you who need to mellow out too.

Why can't we all get along? Stop acting like children, the lot of you.

Thank you to those who understand and support the idea of religious dialogue, no matter what side you're from.

Some of you are missing the point. You are ACTING like children. Everyone has a right to be here who wants to discuss religion and spirituality. It's expected that some people will get irritated and snippy, but I'm suggesting that it's kept to a minimum. Outright bashing with no support for your side and name-calling is just not useful to anyone, and only makes you look like a closed-minded fool who can't support his/her view and therefore must resort to childish name-calling. (This goes for people on BOTH/ALL sides of the issue.)

I said "rude" was a human thing to emphasize that it's not one of a particular religious persuasion that is solely capable of it. Since most of us are probably adults, we should be able to have a discussion without acting like children.

In addition, "Voice", if you think that we'd be dead without God holding our atoms together, please read up on chemistry and biology. You might find an alternative view with a bit more proof.

Tash, I'm in the same boat. I have friends of Christian, Muslim, and Jewish persuasion and get along with them just fine - even when discussing religion. Some people just don't have the practice doing it, I guess - I have a feeling many people have never had their ideas challenged before, and they don't want to second-guess themselves. It's understandable. I know of some who have lost their religion due to this, but I also know some who have gained insight and gotten even more faithful because they more fully understand their religion when it's said and done. I just hope it works out for everyone.

I am a peaceful atheist. I am friends with Christians, Muslims, Buddists and a lot of other people of various faiths.
The hatred in this forum makes me feel so depressed at times.
I just got informed that I am worse than an animal for being an atheist.
Sometimes I think I should just delete my Yahoo account and do other things, rather than wasting my time with arrogant and rude bigotts, all pushing personal agendas.
All I want is to talk, exchange ideas and explain my beliefs and listen to others......someone told me I cant do that here, this is for Christians ONLY.
Some twit is going around posting anti-Muslim hate propaganda all over the place. Someone else is posting anti-Christian stuff as well.
I give up. All thr cr** on here has literally given me a headache.

Oh...and to the nice people...thank you for being patient and nice! You are a rare spark of hope in humanity.

Why on earth do people get such a kick out of hatred and the whole "this is my yard, you cant play here and I'm telling on you" mentality.

I'm not sure what the question is here. You ask why cant we all get along (much like ol' Rodney K. did after he took a severe beating) but prior to that you say being rude is (in your opinion, apparently) a human thing. It would seem that that alone answers all your questions, if you in fact believe it to be true.

I will give the answer however, to those who don't believe in your statement that rudeness is human. It is ego and ego alone that creates conflict. This is the devil in you and I and everyone. The ego is SELFISH and that which serves G-D, the One True Creator of all that is, is SELFLESS and denies ego (or at the very least, fights against it).

If every cell in your body simply decided to act of its own accord and follow whatever path sounded best, or made the most logical sense, you would be dead. If every atom within your body gained consciousness and simply acted on its own behalf, you would cease to exist. It is no one's obligation to make believers of those who do not believe, the only obligation is to deliver the message of LOVE from HE who is all things. It is then that your work is done.

There is but ONE with many many messengers that HE may speak to all ears that would hear. Let the dead not only bury the dead, but remain so. For their stagnation is of no benefit to those in motion, ever.

Dont do it, do no longer do it. it extremely is nt ultimate and you're actually not previous or mature sufficient to shield a youngster. Graduate college, college, get a solid and correctly paid job, be married to the single (it does not could desire to be this guy you like), then you extremely have a newborn. If he plans on doing intercourse with you, in basic terms in basic terms say "No" and walk away. Be responsible. i'm hoping God blessses you and facilitates you're making the final and mature decision.

spost, why do you have to play the victim card? I don't like offensive language and gratuitous insults from either side, but atheists, Muslims, pagans, etc., have just as much right to challenge and support the ideas put forth here as you do. There are no sections here for Christians only, for Republicans only, or for whites only. If you want that sort of forum, you can find plenty of moderated forums where non-Christians are removed.

Firstly I'm not a child and secondly I think that Atheists and Cristains are just as stupid as one another there both the same really like it is with cops and robbers one is license to kill and put somebody in jail and the other either robbs kills or threatens our way of life and being. Cristains and Atheists are alike in so many ways they forget about the rest of us.

And you have more right to make demands than the other guy...why? I missed the memo...

My own question to athiests were why come to a group of people discussing you dont believe in? People usually enter a group to discuss something of their own interest. If you dont believe, then the only rational reason would to be to cause trouble. And thats all they do, making that a fact and not an opinion. I dont get why thats so difficult for anyone to understand.
