no - if you could "become" bisexual you would not double your chances unless everyone in the world were also bisexual. based on a 10% gay 90% straight statistic, your current dating pool consists of 45% of the total population (straight women assuming you are male) if you were to then open up the gay male pool that is an additional 5% effectively making 50% of the population available for an increase of 11% from the previous dating pool.

No. Assume, for simplicity's sake, that homosexuals are 10% of the population and are equally divided among men and women. A straight man has 45% of the pool to draw from (straight women), whereas a bisexual man has 50% of the pool to draw from (straight women and gay men). Conversely, a gay man or woman who 'decides' to be bi (and I have some serious issues with sexual orientation as a simple choice) widens the field from 5% to 50%.

Thats a common quote by someone. Hmm it depends. Really its about attraction. If you are attracted to a guy and a girl I guess it doubles your chance ... but don't get you hopes up.

Technically, yes. However, you cannot "choose" to be bisexual-- you can choose to open yourself to the possibility of being attracted to members of both sexes, but that attraction can't be forced. Only time will tell if you are in fact attracted to both your own and the opposite sex.

No, obviously not. You can't become bi. And I can't think of anyone that would want to date a homophobe.

No! You'll actually cut them by 50%!
This is because most girls will feel you repelling if they found out that you're into men!
