My cousin Raj who is 19 and I moved in together about 2 months ago. We share an apartment. I am 24 and just graduated from college. He is in school and working part time. Anyway, in the last few weeks my cousin Raj has been walking around in his underwear which kind of creeped me out at first but then I got used to it. I usually am always wearing my nightie or fully clothed when I am with him. He must have saw that I dont care much about it and then started walking nude from his bedroom to the kitchen to get something to drink or to throw something away. Again, I was creeped out but he has always been like a little brother. He then asked me if I mind that he is nude, and I said no as long as it isn't all the time. Well, now I am worried. The other day he came into the living room naked while I was watching tv. He started glancing at the television and then I noticed he slowly started to get an erection which stayed at 3.5 inches for about 10 minutes. It was hard not to see it. Help?

Any time I am grilling some half wit bible thumper about home much they DO NOT KNOW and how much they DO NOT understand, and after I place piles of evidence in their hot little hands to historically prove them wrong on soooooo many levels....They love to try and dismantle anything I say about the OT with this grace stuff

"Oh well that is the law, and matters not, for we are under grace"

If this is true, then I ask you this.....

why do they continue to print the "law" if the "law no longer applies???

Or is it better to say that you only believe the parts of the bible you like, and you ignore the parts you don’t?

I am putting together an event reading of love poems at a poetry house for Valentines Day. What famous love poems would you like to hear? I am especially stuck looking for comic ones (Wendy Cope is good though) and also more modern (but famous) ones such as ones written in the 1960s and in this decade (the noughties!?). Any ideas? Thanks

Warning: The way I have written this sounds "offensive," but it isn't meant in that way; rather an honest inquiry.

I can understand why Christians, Jews, Muslims, Sikh, and Hindus* (to name a few) believe in what they do. To aggregate the reasons in its most simplistic forms I'd have to say the fact that they grow up in that religion or a culture that supports it. However, this is definitely NOT the case for (many) Pagans. Paganism is just some new-age resurrection of obvious mythology, and I can't escape but to say it is no different (in its core influence) than scientology or any of those cults out there. So I ask, Do pagans really believe this, or are they just trying to build a moral framework through the venue of spiritualism? I just can't concieve in this day and age someone who'd believe in some sun god or another similar god.

------------
*Technically Hindus are pagans, but for purposes of this thread I will exclude them from the definition.

I have noticed this question asked about Jesus returned a few times. Most think Jesus will return quietly like a mouse..lol Did you know a thief in the night in 100AD meant a large group of men that you could hear coming from miles away and there was no doubt what was happening? Funny how we get lost in translation.

In my dream last night I looked into the mirror and my left eye looked mottled… I can’t think of a better word than that. The color in my eyes had a slightly smeared look with the white of my eye and the black of my pupil (my eye color is green naturally, in my dream is was a very dark, clear, bluish green)
If that wasn’t enough, the next part of my dream was that I wound up in bed with my roommate. Partially dressed, I just kinda found myself there in his bed. He reached out me, and I didn’t know how I got there, but it was realistic enough for me to think that I must have slept-walked in there. I tried to explain it, but it felt like I was just making excuses, like I really did want to be in there, but I still felt flustered about being there… I kept looking around, but when I looked away from him I couldn’t see clearly, just shadowy translucent pictures of my room, like the wall that separates his bedroom and mine was disappearing. So there I was with him in his bed… and one can surmise what else happened….
So what does it mean?

I've noticed that among all of my Christian friends and all the Christian celebrities and fictional Christian people, none of them are named Jesus, except for some Spanish Christians (please correct me if I'm wrong). Is there a reason for this? I'm not a Christian, but I'm still very curious.
