It seems to be a fairly common assumption in religious circles that atheists are inherently immoral and I have also seen religious fundamentalists regard atheists as literally demonic. In fact atheists are persecuted in the US on this basis, ranging from not being able to get a job to having their homes burned down.

Many atheists subscribe to the scientific view that humans have evolved to be as they are. From this it is very simple to see that had humans not had cooperative traits that we would never have reached humanity. In fact, all decent morality is as a direct result of evolution. We don't need a riddiculous book from the late bronze age to tell us right from wrong.

how do you perceive atheists, their morality or propensity for evil?

You know what Christians, I believe many Christians will be left here to face the tribulaton as they are not ready. I am. Jesus has showed me in a vision in the middle of last year that me and my sister will be alive when the rapture happens, and I also had an end times visions in the middle of 2005 and that was very biblical. And plus I had my dreams and visions backed up at prayer ministry by the Holy spirit. I hate when people call the holy spirit a lier. That is blasphemy. Some people are jealous about what God gives other people. If God does not what to share certain things with people he won't because he is God and he does what he wants.I know what I received from God and so does he. I do not give a toss one way or the other is people doubt it, because i have been blessed enough for it to happed to me. I have read a bood by sister Choo Thomas called Heaven is so real. It is a try story of a lady who encounterd the living Christ, and he took her to Heaven in her spirit body

How many days are questions left in voting? And how does it work after those days are up? Will a answer be determined as best answer or what? And why doesn't the person posing the question care enough to choose themselves?

Any thoughts?

Proof would always say there is no bridge. Putting a foot out to make the stone appear would be a step of faith which technically does not appeal to the Atheist theory of logic and reason only. Is it fair enough to say they would not cross such a bridge if it existed then because of the logical limitation?

For example - someone recently posted a question asking if blind people dream - most of the answers were posted by people who trying to sound scientific in their answers. I did not see any posts by actual blind people, so I considered all of the responses as pure speculation. There was one guy that responded that he believed dreams were of a spiritual nature so it made perfect sense to him that blind people could dream because they come from God. I'm not going to say whether or not I adhere to that belief or not - but what I noticed is that people then started responding to his response by insulting his ability to put together reasonable thoughts - why? The people responding to him are obviously not going to make him "See the light" and convert away from his spiritual beliefs - what's the point in calling him names? So what if he is wrong - when he dies...he's dead. But if he's right...when these other people die, they spend an eternity in Hell.

The Word expressly states. "In the LATTER DAYS, God will pour out the Holy Spirit, and we will prophesy, have visions, and dream dreams."
God is working overtime to help us experience our
spirituality. So there will be NO DOUBT we have a spirit in
us that will survive whatever is to come.
Not every "spirit" has our best interests at heart. But
that is no excuse to cower in fear, promote ignorance, and blaspheme the Holy Spirit!

I am a gay man and I love my partner we have been together for 7 years. The thing is we are both very masculine and refuse to be effeminate. We take ourselves seriously and professionally. I would love to show off the love of my life but I don't which leads to alot of unsaid moments and bittersweet memories. So, why is it that even with a squeeky clean facade we are seen as vulgar and disgusting?

According to the Bible, priesthood authority is necessary to perform saving ordinances like baptism, confirmation, etc., but which church has the authority to do so?

The Catholics claim they still have it since it was passed down in an unbroken chain since the time of Peter to the present Pope and the Mormons, to my knowledge, claim the authority was lost due to apostasy and subsequently "restored" to their prophet Joseph Smith in 1830 by the resurrected John the Baptist and Peter James and John.

And I know, I know, all churches are good, no one has a monopoly on faith, etc, etc, but someone has exclusivity on the ability to perform proper ordinances through the priesthood. Since Protestant churches all broke off from the main Catholic vein, they are out; and to my knowledge Mormons are the only ones who claim a restoration. So who is it, the Catholics or the Mormons?

"Eccentricity is not, as dull people would have us believe, a form of madness. It is often a kind of innocent pride, and the man of genius and the aristocrat are frequently regarded as eccentrics because genius and aristocrat are entirely unafraid of and uninfluenced by the opinions and vagaries of the crowd."
