I was actually born in Black History Month (February 1st).

I have heard many white people on this site and on Myspace complain about how its "unfair," and that they should be able to have a white history month.

Well i happen to agree with you. its not fair. But here's a reality check: LIFE IS NOT FAIR.

Was life fair to me when i was born poor and grew up poor, living with a father who was a heroin addict and a disabled mother?

Was life fair to me when i went to underfunded black schools where we used outdated textbooks, old computers, and sat in dirty classrooms, knowing if those same schools were mostly white, that it would NOT be that way?

Is life fair to me whenever I walk into ANY store, and the people act like I'm going to steal something or rob them?

I have no hatred for any race, but please people, think about the injustices that still go on to this day. Learn to accept our history month. Gain knowledge from it. And realize that life is not fair to anyone.

My company is moving to a new location and Id like to give each person a "welcome home" gift - Ive already asked the girls their favorite flower & that's what they'll recieve- but Im at a loss as to what to give the guys ... After all, if *everything* is part of his plan, then the fact that I think Christianity is false must be part of his plan. Is it part of God's plan to send 5.5 billion people (the number of living non-Christians) to hell?

Well, in general he is a nice man.. married to a coptic Russian though he is muslim, but he told me that as he was you, he and his family had this disgust towards christians, to the extent that if they has a christian carpenter fixing their furniture and asked to drink water, they would later throw away the glass, and at school he and his muslim colleagues would not talk to christians for the same reason. I showd him how eccentric I found this, I feel weird till now.. What do you think?

I am an athiest. I was a former Catholic who was even and "altar boy." I believe that people can believe in whatever it is they want to, provided it is positive for them and the rest of the world. I appreciate, accept and respect other's beliefs and would never say that their belief is wrong. However, when people find out that I am an atheist, they instantly assume that I am wrong, anarchistic and I need guidance. They always, and I mean with 100% certainty try to do this. It is very annoying. I love civility, humanity and life more than anything but it seems like religious people, who by the way are supposed to be the most tolerant and accepting of others, well, they are the most intolerant and unaccepting of others. Oh, a side question, why do so many Christians say that Muslims are a terrible violent people when so many crimes around the world are performed by Christians. Murders, robberies, kidnappings. These are done by Christians also. I don't see Buddhiasts or Hindus doing this?

I was a Christian but when I red the scientific facts in the Holy Quran my eyes opened and my heart said there is no doubt that the Holy Quran is the word of God. (Not a Single Contradiction – Find One?.....you will never find it if you have the proper knowledge in the Quran).

Some examples of the scientific facts:

1) “The world rotates about its own axis”, this is mentioned in the Quran 14 hundred years ago. We have just come to now recently with our top class modern equipment and technology that this is true, but what technology existed 14 hundred years ago………exactly None.

2) “The earth is not flat but is shaped like the egg of an ostreg, which is geo-spherical”. Scientist have recently come to now that this is true (someone sailed around the world to prove it).

Who could have known this 14 hundred years ago?.........No body, expect God, which we call ALLAH.

What is wrong with this above situation?
I will tell you and I want to see who agrees.
If I say there is a blue God on the other side of the moon, then it is up to me to prove it, not for you to disprove it!
I think this is logical! Who agrees with this?
Should the believers prove their blue, yellow, hundred armed golden or what ever God exists?
Who agrees that it is not up to atheists to prove that god does not exist but up to the theoist to prove that he does exist?
