It is logically impossible to prove that something does not exist. So, even if they wanted to, the atheists could not prove any god's non-existence.

Well, the main flaw in your question in that we actually have the technology to prove that a blue god on the other side of the moon exists. You're talking about an actual, physical being that can be reached by use of spacecrafts that we have actually invented and sent to the moon in the past. Though I do agree that it is not up to atheists to prove that my Goddess and God DO NOT exist, you also cannot equate the Lord and the Lady to a blue god living on the other side of the moon.

He's ok but he's no Purple God!
Of course atheists are under no responsibility to disprove God - you can't prove something does not exist, especially since religious folks keep changing the rules and their 'faith' allows them to do this without feeling dishonest.
I think its sad how creationists try to show each new development in evolution where the entire evolutionary history of some organ or bodypart isnt immediately obvious they jump in and say 'thats irreducible complexity! That proves god exists' well isnt that like saying its not a square, it MUST be a circle - maybe its a rectangle, or a hexagon! as it turns out evolution always explains it anway - but why do they look for new gaps? Didn't we disprove creation with the first explanation of a evolutionary history, such as the eye?

Part of the problem is one of semantics. First you have to agree on a common definition of 'God' before you can begin to prove or disprove its existence.
If your definition of God is a benevolent grandfatherly bearded white guy who is immortal and lives in the clouds, and sometimes throws lightning-bolts, then I think its safe to say he doesn't exist for lack of evidence.
Others have speculated that God is a supernatural spirit-creature, beyond time and space, responsible for creating the universe (and us) billions of years ago, who oversees us rather passively while we're alive and stands in judgement of our own spirit-force upon death. I think most people who are devout would basically agree with this simplified description.
I would point out that there is no evidence for a spirit world separate from our own. Neither is there any evidence that our universe was ever 'created' by anything beyond random chance. When we die, its clear that all metabolism stops, and our bodies eventually decay. That's pretty much it, although if we write down our ideas during life, then those ideas can live on if they are preserved and read by others, like the Bible was.
The 'Bible', even though it contains some really great ideas for being a good human that we'd all do well to follow, is not evidence of anything. It was written by humans, after all, not gods.
It's safe to say that there are many things about our culture and its function that seem to transcend the individuals (living or dead) that make it up, however. There are feedback mechanisms at work that are quite complex and difficult to explain. Perhaps this is evidence of God?
No, not really. Just because something is difficult to explain does not mean that its beyond explanation. It may mean that we lack the science to explain it, just yet.
That doesn't make the experience any less wonderful, or awe-inspiring, from my point of view. The universe doesn't need a supernatural layer in order to be 'super.' The natural one is super enough, thank you very much.
This question has really already been decided by the vast majority of people on this planet. Most people accept that there is no God, we're just not as vocal about it as the screaming Evangelicals.

Well, besides the fact that opinion polls do not determine truth, it is not up to me to "prove" that God exists to your satisfaction or anybody else's. I know you think the entire universe, including God, should rotate around you and desires, but sadly they do not.
God has given enough proof of Himself in nature and in the human world for any open-minded person to believe. Jesus said that He longed to gather the Jews (and you!) under his wings but they (and you) were not willing. That's as far as He or we are required to go. If a perons persists in their rebellion, they get their just deserts. Simple as that.

It is not up to either side!!! Anybody who thinks they can is deluded but you are welcome to try.
You CANNOT prove or disprove religious stuff!!! So its matter of faith.
There are probably cults around today that belief in your blue god!!! Anyway, if you started one, you could
From the atheist point of view, of course it is "up to the religious person to establish his truth".
From the point of view of the religious person, it is up to the atheist to deny the "truth".
In short, don't expect everyone to agree.

I don't have to prove anything to anyone--it is faith, not sight, and when you have even the smallest amount of faith and you allow God to work in your life, you will see that He is real and that He did create you and everyone else with a purpose and plan for our lives. Atheists shouldn't knock it until they've tried it. If you run to Him and seek Him with all your heart, He will be there waiting for you, and He will most certainly reveal Himself to you. I don't get upset because people don't believe, I pray for those people that they will someday cling to the heavenly Father that created them.

All religion is the result of man's fear of death, and his inability to explain his existence. It's based on "faith," the literal meaning of which is "belief without proof."
It's the most successful business of all time, and as P.T. Barnum said, "There's a sucker born every minute, and two to take him."
To market them, they have created preposterous rewards for becoming a follower, like eternal life, heaven with virgins, angels, streets paved in gold etc.
They have invented places like hell, with horrible demons who will torture you in fire for eternity if you're not a believer...like a day or two wouldn't be enough?
Religion has been used to control the masses and their money for eons and is alive and well today. Witness the Vatican in Rome, with it's billions they've taken from the people for centuries, and continue to do so.
Religion was used by the Romans, Egyptians, etc,. and every major country in the world throughout time. The USA points a finger at other countries who fight in the name of their religion, but isn't it being done right here in the name of Christianity?
Religion has a bloody history, as they all teach that anyone who disagrees with them is "spawn of the devil" and should be obliterated unless they convert to theirs.
Everyone is shocked at the murderous ways of the Shitites in Iraq, but Christianity has one of the bloodiest histories ever...the crusades, the Nazi's, etc. all who butchered millions who were not of their beliefs.
Nothing has changed down through history, but the names of the Gods, and no doubt will continue as long as gullible people exist.
All religion is pure fabrication and very dangerous, as history will bear out.
I believe something definitely created this fantastic universe, but unlike others, I make no claim to know what it is. Whatever it is gave me a BS filter...it's called a BRAIN, and I use it.
It has to be up there shaking his head at the idiots here on earth and hoping we evolve to use the other 80% of our brains.

If a Christian were to prove to you that God exists then there would be no reason for you to believe without seeing, which is faith. If there is a God, and there is, then if he chose to prove himself to you through faith then it would be up to you to believe him, no matter what anyone else said. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
We believe because he is. If he is, then we don't belong in his presence, and if he is holy, we belong in hell, but all thanks and praise be to God, he has saved us from our sin, and all things are become new!!!

Jesus junkie, have you ever been in love? Then you know the feeling. Feelings are natural. You still cannot prove there is a god.
