No, I haven't wondered, I know. God has allowed mankind to rule themselves. That's what they choose to day the day they decided to go against God's orders in their paradise home. They thought they could make better decisions or choices for themselves, as a result, man has dominated man to his injury as was predicted by God in that garden (read Genesis). We have done a horrible job and will continue to do so until the designated time when Jehovah will step in and reclaim the earth and righteous people (those who put their faith in him and his Kingdom). If he did not step in, mankind would destroy themselves and the earth completely.

Don't listen to these ignorant people whom have never read a page in the bible. To refute the claims of others, white people have and always will hate skin color that is not theirs. White people claim africans sold slaves, but that doesn't make it right to buy them. They are still at fault. And did they ever read WHY Africans sold? Many reasons. Yes, it was for competition with other enemies, but there were also threats of rape and murder, deceit due to language barrier because they thought they were being sold as indentured servants. Even African slaves at that time had special rights and were seen as people. Some of those slaves were actually criminals that were sentenced to life as slavery. And as for why God allowed it, well those Afticans were not Christians so they did not have his protection. Remember, God will never let anything bad happen to a true child of God. Those slaves found the Lord in America and held on. His gospel spread. Their natural talents grew with Him as well as their faith of being freed. After proving they really loved Him through many generations, they were freed. And, to be honest, I would never want to be part of the race that did all of that to people. I am not haunted with memories of my ancestors taking lands, killing and raping people, oppressing other races, filled with corruption and lust for money. I'm not part of a family and race that still does that. It is hard to find God in such an evironment. The guilty party will pay on judgment day.

First of all if you read the Bible it states in there that GOD gives us free will. Do you know what that means? It means we have the right to decide what is good for us whether or not it is good or bad. Therefore it is the people who decided to enslve and the enslaved allowed it to happen. So why do we always blame GOD ?? We have the choice to do good yet some raher do evil. God gave us the opportunity to right the wrongs that we have done as a society and we have realized that it was wrong. It was our fault , our doing by the use of GOD'S free will. He isn't a dictator. He does not control us, he watches and later he will judge our actions. Put the blame where it belongs and next time read the Bible and you will learn the answers to a whole lot more...

God has allowed Satan rulership of this world so that all of us can decide who we want to follow. He has told us through the Bible what he wanted, how it got delayed and how he will fix it all again. He loved us first. We have got to quit blaming him and draw close to him so that we will be able to survive the final war when he puts an end to all wickedness. Believe me, slavery is just a tiny tip of a very wicked iceburg--no human could stand to know just how much wickedness goes on every day all around us no matter what country we live in or what color our skin is. God is looking for people who are disgusted with the horrible things that are happening--will you allow yourself to draw close to him?

People in Africa are being tortured and killed for their skin color in Africa today, even as we speak.
Eve wanted to decide for herself what was good and what was bad. Man doesn't want to be told what to do.
So humans were given free will to do what they want.
After 6000 years of human governments we have not improved very much. Hopefully mankind sees now that we are not able to govern ourselves. We need Jesus Kingdom government to rule over the earth. Mankinds problems is mostly bad government.
The ones in charge don't know what they are doing.

The bible says that slavery is ok.

EDIT: I don't really know how I can get a thumbs down for stating the truth.

To the original poster: the bible may not say to beat your servants to death, but read Ex.21:26-27

As for institutionalised racism, as you allude to, The bible makes it quite clear that keeping non-hebrew slaves is fine whereas keeping hebrew slaves is not. That is quite clearly racism. Leviticus 25:39-46

sounds like you put the history book aside and went to an NAACP function. Maybe you should try the history book instead. You are falsifying the institution of slavery. Actually MOST slaves lived in better conditions than minimum wage workers of today.

You should ask the slaves who lived in that time who believed in God. It seems they didn't share your view of blaming God for everything that went wrong in their life. Instead, they simply trusted in Him & did something constructive.
