John took a 3 point shot, it bounced off the rim. The airplane landed in hot sauce, and the camel ate ice cream, when the job was done, i mean, why would this happen?

Then it started to box the monkey and later that day the phone rang and the job was in Mars, then he ran to see the lions....

why would the U.S want border patrol?

I'm interested in learning Russian but after studying the Cyrillic alphabet I've noticed there is no equivalent letter for the english "J". (at least I don't think there is). I know there has to be an accepted spelling for "joseph" seeing that Joseph Stalin once ruled that country.

Hi Oprah,
I like to know if it ok to say , Why not have a crowd of audiences of minorities like Native Am. Indians, Black, Mexican, Japanese and etc. I know that I see on your show is alot of white working people but hardly any minorities. Plus, how can you offer your help to Native American Indians to know us and ask us questions. That would be great on your show an radio. Thanks

Today I followed a school bus home (NOT my original plan), and the stupid thing stopped at every driveway in the subdivision where a kid was living.

Where cul-de-sacs branched off, mothers were waiting in their cars (!) to drive their kids exactly ONE block.

It was perfectly beautiful weather: sunny, and 70 degrees, so it's not like the kids had to walk in driving snow. And, it's a super safe neighborhood where nothing ever happens, and strangers don't hang out...ever. So, no child was in any danger.

What do you think? Could this expectation of being driven everywhere except inside the actual house be a reason why we have so many little porkers? Shouldn't kids be walking whenever possible, as much as possible?

Thanks for input, and thanks also for staying on topic and not dragging in OTHER causes of childhood fat.

It's yet another thousands year old Pagan tradition celebrating the coming of spring, life and fertility. I'm sure the Vikings in Sweden celebrated it as they do today. They have cute little ornaments for the Easter tree like eggs, rabbits, etc.

Every time they appear to somebody in the Bible, it seems to be the first thing thay say, even to people who know they exist. Why do you think it might be necessary?

I was reading Wikipedia and it said something about how Scientologists think that psychology and psychiatry are evil. I wanna know...WHY!?! Psychology helps us to understand ourselves, how our brain works, we we behave the way we do, and so on... Why would it be evil?

God in the Bible is depicted as jealous, vindictive, cruel, etc. (the list would go on too long...) Why would anybody WANT such a God to be real, and if He is, why would you actually be willing to WORSHIP Him?!? The Spanish who conquered the Aztec empire were flabbergasted that the Aztecs would volutarilly worship such barbaric deities, and I for my part am equally at a loss why people would choose to worship YHVH (Jehovah)? Is it all about Heaven? You would give up your human decency and watch your fellow human beings roast in Hell, just as long as YOU get to enjoy paradise...? I can't fathom it...

My best friend's little girl is one, and she has tons of stuffed animals and clothes already. I'd like to get her something relatively inexpensive (no more than $25) and useful.

While it is true that the stores do have the power to dictate what the cashiers say, most truly don't care whether anyone says "Happy Holidays" or "Merry Christmas". The cashiers themselves determine what they say in that arena. Why do people create lies about that the stores are monitoring every single thing that is said when that is not true?
