It used to when I was a fundamentalist, but I came to see all that scary stuff as manipulative nonsense. I first heard a sermon about the "rapture" when I was a teenager, and it scared (and upset) the **** out of me to think my "unsaved" dad was going to wake up one morning to find his family had deserted him.

It bears no resemblance to the loving God I know today. There's a wideness in God's mercy.

No it won't scare me if the people are left behind because they choose to be left behind then knowing the truth of the Lord and his teachings.

i've got faith that everybody is entitled to their opinion and that i've got faith that that may not what God planned to take place, yet you're truthfully nonetheless a Christian in case you help gay rights. Its style of like saying that persons who...think of cussing is okay are not Christian. it quite is ridiculous, i understand fairly some Christians who cuss! So i think of you're nonetheless a Christian in case you help gay rights. God will consistently decide you relatively.:-)

Yes, of course... but I know TheTruth. And the even Greater Truth which will be revealed in Heaven will be a consolation and will eliminate such sadness.

Not in the least. Jesus said we must "Hate our father and mother in comparison to the love we have for him." So, although now when Jesus seems far away, remember that once you're with him, nothing else matters. Nothing at all. He's everything. God bless.

Yes. I go to a Christian school, and I can tell that a few of my classmates are not saved. I just don't know how to witness to them. Could you help me out?

it bothers me that I might be one of the ones left behind.

I know that every day I do something against God, and every day I try to do better the next day.
