I was reading Wikipedia and it said something about how Scientologists think that psychology and psychiatry are evil. I wanna know...WHY!?! Psychology helps us to understand ourselves, how our brain works, we we behave the way we do, and so on... Why would it be evil?

Because if you're paying for therapy or medication, you can't send money to their church. And therapy will teach you to rely on yourself rather than a group or faith.

Scientologists are crazy. Just run a google search on the topic and you'll get plenty of information. Nearly every single one of their beliefs are just raving mad. Scientology is more like a cult than a religion.

Really? I read that they mix psychology into the religion for the purpose of brainwashing their followers... But I haven't read that much into it. It was started by a sci-fi book author who said "The fastest way to make a million dollars is to start your own religion."
Sounds like a cult to me.

Probably the biggest reason is that Scientology wants the cash that goes to psychiatry.
