Do we need Santa Clause to have some good Christmas time?

There are lots of areas where it is warm all year round and have been that way for a long time so this isn't anything new. Also, not everyone likes cold so that's one of the reasons they move there or choose to stay there. Doesn't global warming get a bad enough rap as it is?

WHY IS JESUS BETTER THAN SANTA CLAUS

*Santa lives at the North Pole... JESUS is everywhere.


*Santa rides in a sleigh... JESUS rides on the wind
and walks on the water.

*Santa comes but once a year... JESUS is an ever
present help.

*Santa fills your stockings with goodies... JESUS
supplies all your needs.

*Santa comes down your chimney uninvited... JESUS
stands at your door and knocks, and then enters your
heart.

*You have to wait in line to see Santa... JESUS is as
close as the mention of His name.

*Santa lets you sit on his lap... JESUS lets you rest
in His arms.

*Santa doesn't know your name, all he can say is "Hi
little boy or girl, what's your name?"... JESUS knew
our name before we did. Not only does He know our
name, He knows our address too. He knows our history
and future and He even knows how many hairs are on our
heads.

*Santa has a belly like a bowl full of jelly... JESUS
has a heart full of love.

*All Santa can offer is HO HO HO... JESUS offers
health, help and hope.

*All Santa says "You better not cry"... JESUS says
"Cast all your cares on me for I care for you."

*Santa's little helpers make toys... JESUS makes new
life, mends wounded hearts, repairs broken homes and
builds mansions.

*Santa may make you chuckle but.... JESUS gives you
joy that is your strength.

*While Santa puts gifts under your tree... JESUS
became our gift and died on a cross made of tree.

Its obvious there is really no comparison. We need to
remember WHO Christmas is all about. We need to put
Christ back in Christmas, Jesus is still the reason
for the season. Yes, Jesus is better, He is even
better than Santa Claus. Merry CHRISTmas!!!

my mom has a cist on her overy that has pop'd and she has an infection now :(

well the doctors are of no help now so i (being a witch) have decided to give her mystical help (while she is still getting medical help) i have given her a small bag of white crystal (that will help with the healing) I have given her an athame (which symbolizes fire, and fire purifies the body) And i have lit some white candles for her (these candles symbolize health and pramote healing)

Can you think of anything else that i could do?

If you are a witch then please help me out.

If you are a christian, then please pray for my mom.

To me, a person who follows and believes in Christ is a "Christian."

But I here so many say that Cathloics and Mormons are not Christians... what do you think?

Christmas and Hanukkah have similar meanings. I'm curious about your holiday. We all have the right to promote and celebrate our own holidays. Getting recognition for everyone's can only come about through education and cooperation with love.

That is, where in scripture ITSELF does it provide a list of what books are SUPPOSED to be in the Bible (i.e. "Genesis is scripture, Exodus is scripture," etc. on through the rest of the Bible books)? I submit to you that there in NO internal evidence that the books we now have in the Bible are 'supposed' to be there or that other books are not supposed to be there - all we have is VERBAL assurances by the clergy that the set we now have is the 'correct' one!

In my mind I immediately label people who string 5 or more religious terms together in a sentence as moronic, or at best simple-minded. Despite their intention, "You need to surrender to the holy spirit and accept His love to save your soul" sounds remarkably like "I'm going to Hawaii, yaaaaaay!"

I'm just curious if it's my own connotations I'm attributing to these people, or if they really do spout non-sequiter jargon, or if I'm the dumb one? Thanks!

All throughout history people have committed some of the most horrific things in recorded human history in the name of one religion or another. The best example today is Moslems shouting, “God is Great” after events like suicide bombings, beheadings, etc, etc. Why can’t people realize that things like this are evil and it makes God sad to see his children killing one another over petty things? It shouldn’t matter what race, religion, or creed you are, just love one another and defeat the real enemy, Hate!
