Given that we do not fully understand the workings of the human brain, how can atheists be so certain there is no god? If anything, that looks like a god complex.

I personally have no relationship with a god, but I see no compelling reason to deny the existence of one. I'm not omniscient so I can't be 100% sure about anything.

I believe atheists are the loons, because their whole platform is that god does not exist. Who cares if he exists or not? What gives people the feeling they can step past agnosticism and declare that there is nothing?

It is selfish for me to think of myself and spend my time and money on my self, my family and my friends, BUT it is not selfish for someone to sit on their azz all day, not do anything except stick their hand out and expect others to take care of them?

You know the people that (for whatever reason) love to say or do anything just to disprove or discredit the religion. I mean the no mistake about it, obvious, haters.

Do you trust people like that?

What if it's about a religion you might already think is odd?

Im not sure,if this guy,is feelin me,my friend like's him,and i kind of do to,he stairs at me alot
and when he stairs at me he smiles,he excited,talk to me alot more then my friends,and smile's at me,everytime i see him and 4 some reason,he wants to get me drunk hedroped myiends off and i was in his car wit him,and he said we can still go,driving around if u want and i said okay and i got out of the car and my friends got in there with him,and he said im ready to go home. i but im a guy i don't know if he likes me what do u think? he smiles at me alot. but i don't know if he's that way.

A man, returning home a day early from a business trip, got into a taxi at the airport. It was after midnight. While en route to his home, he asked the cabby if he would be a witness. The man suspected his wife was having an affair and he intended to catch her in the act. For $100, the cabby agreed.

Quietly arriving at the house, the husband and cabby tiptoed into the bedroom. The husband switched on the lights, yanked the blanket back and there was his wife in bed with another man. The husband put a gun to the naked man's head.

The wife shouted, "Don't do it! This man has been very generous! I lied when I told you I inherited money. He paid for the Corvette I bought for you. He paid for our new cabin cruiser. He paid for your season Green Bay Packer Tickets. He paid for our house at the lake. He paid for our country club membership, and he even pays the monthly dues!"

Shaking his head from side to side, the husband slowly lowered the gun. He looked over at the cab driver and said, "What would you do?"

The cabby said, "I'd cover his *** up with that blanket before he catches a cold."

Said a lot of things were wrong and quoted people and religion and whatever else yet still doesn't give an answer of WHY it's wrong? I see people asking "Why is (____) wrong?" and someone goes "Because God says so." or "Because it is." I hear people all the time saying a lot of things are wrong yet can't really say why. Do you know someone like this?

I recently saw a movie that talked about the Month of the Hungry Ghosts (Oben). It briefly touched on some of the customs of this special time of the year. I was curious as to what the customs were (since the movie, made in Singapore, expected the audience to already know the rules).

Some of the rules they did touch on were things like, don't sweep the ashes from the offerings, don't eat the food left out, don't sit in the front row of the traditional dancing (it's reserved for the dead) and don't turn if someone calls your name at night.

I was wondering what the actual customs were and if they differed depending on where you lived (like China, Japan, Tibet, etc).

I'm confused, my science teacher or the dumb priest? , My science teacher said that we evolve from some sort of a Ape , and the adaptation , survival , facing natures severity learning skills and love to the children has bring us to this stage. My friend told me that we are made from clay balls, and a priest told me that we are from Adam and eve, the world is made in six days.. I feel like its better to study the easy way. So I can just simply write the bible content to my science exam. The god is poerfull and he made the world in 6days . end of story!!! But . .
I want to be a science person to help the cancer researches or AIDS. what should I follow?
