The Scripture starts with verse 18 and goes to 25. Here My servant is Israel. She cannot bring light to the nations because she herself is blind and deaf. Nor can she bring deliverance because she herself is robbed and plundered as prey.(22-24) In verse 25, punishment does not always curb evil.

first passage, Talking about the absolute good, second passage, talking about how humans are lower than God in terms of goodness, third passage, talking about a vengeful God, closest thing I can think of is that it means life is a trial to get to the highest point of purity. Either way it doesn't make too much sense nor is it hopeful in any way (IMO last sentence.)

We may condemn our predecessors for their failures, but we are twice as guilty if we repeat the same mistakes that we recognize as failures. Often we are so ready to direct God's message at others that we can't see how it touches our own life. Make sure you are willing to take your own advice as you speak it forth here, trying to teach others, and wanting to lead others into a relationship with Christ.
This is something we could all learn from. Especially here I have noticed that the love is Christ is not always shown even from those who say they are "Christians". We are not to boast for we have done nothing to make ourselves right with God. Jesus did it all. We just need to share the truth and show His love in action to others, even those who ridicule and belittle followers of Christ. Jesus said that the world hated Him so it will hate you too if you follow Him.
We are in good company Christians. The prophets were persecuted to, but they made a lasting impression. When people post things here that are rude and said to try to hurt you or ridicle Jesus, pray for them. Show them the same love that Jesus has showed you.
Praying for each and every one of you...

The message is this:
If we refuse to accept him as our God and refuse to obey His commandments, he will bring someone or something into our lives that will plunder all our riches.
In this case God was talking about Israel, because they did not follow God's laws, he brought the Assyrians into the northern kingdom and took them away into slavery in their country. That was the captivity of the ten northern tribes of Israel.
Then He brought the Babylonians into the southern kingdom and took them away into slavery in their country. That was the captivity of the two southern tribes.

That sin and disobedience has consequences, and of those consequences, some may not understand, or take to heart the reasons for them.

Sounds like god was having another bi-polar episode and was doing his psycho smiting schtick, but everyone was too stupid to learn from it. Due to his crazy fits and downright meanness, he should be avoided at all costs.

If you belong to God, he will spank you if you misbehave.
And, yes-it does apply to Christians.
