Well, I am a little older and female, plus i have a son. Though I am single (without any family too), I actually just did that.
I quit my high-paying corporate job, used the the first year of my son's life to finish College, than I sold my condo and built a house out of state.
I actually did not have a job yet when I moved, but had several great prospects. I also only knew one person. I just knew I wanted to raise my son in a more family type environment then where I lived in South Florida.
Now, 6 months later, I am so happy I did this!! My new house is beautiful and cost much less than what I would have paid in Fl. My son is in a wonderful daycare, and I ended up getting a great job the first week I moved. I've made great new friends and each day I am just so blessed and happy I moved here. I even built my house off of the internet without even visitng the city first. That is how much I wanted to leave FL.
So, if you really want to go, just do it! Try to have a place to live first as that is always really helpful :-).
Good luck to you! I wish you the best!

What happens when you are 36, 46, 56, 66, 76, 86, 96 or 106? We tend to live for the now and not envision the future. You could not possibly know what your life would be at any of the ages I listed so make the best of the age you have. Play a little, work a little, get serious a little, and plan for the future a little. Live a well balanced life whether in CA or FLA or even GA but have a plan while you lay back. No plan to succeed is a sure plan to fail. All fun, play and no work will make Nai a very broke, unhappy person. And what about your legacy? Companionship? Children? Inheritance?

Who says a warm climate equals a "laid back life"? You'll encounter lifes problems wherever you relocate to. Who's stopping you? Nobody! Good luck.

Get a job first, then go for it. California is great. Cost of living is high, same for Florida, but I prefer California.....San Diego area is great.........Perfect temperatures year round.......

Go! You're young with no attachments. You'll find a job, and be happier in the meantime.

Go for it. If not now, when. You have nothing tying you down, so if that's what you want, do it.
