The people in our chruch do tithe and give offerings but our chruch is pretty small right now. We need to do some sort of fundraiser to help pay for the speakers we want to have come.

You can ask the congregation' members to donate their used stuff that still look nice (electronic, clothes, etc) and do something like a garage sale.
The other one is a silent auctions. Ask busnisses around the area to donate their product, and you can auction it at your church. It doesn't have to be product. Could be service too..
THe other one is movie night. Get a good biblical movie (e.g. Gospel of John or Luther), and rent a big movie screen. Sell the tickets.. and during the movie night you can sell pop-corn, sodas and cookies..

I hope this help..

have a garage sale in the church multi-purpose room. everyone from the congregation will donate their stuff and the money made from the sale all goes to the church.

or have a sell-your stuff shop. kids can make crafts, parents can sell their tupperware, candles, various baked goods and crafts, etc and the craftors will pay $5 to rent a table (which goes to the church) and all profits will also go to the church. Everyone entering the sale will pay $1 for an entry fee

Not to be a plug or anything, but my wife can help you out. She does Avon, and you get a portion of all sales. She just started looking into doing these, and her first one is going to be at Tender Care Pregantcy, which helps women out who need it. Her email is mamashearer@hotmail.com if you would like some more information. I haven't told her about it, but I will and am sure she would be happy to help out.

if you are fundraising ofr the poor, jsut tell the people that is what it is for.

Do your members tihte and give offerings?

Have you tried to use any talents you may have a raise funds that way, ex. acting, singing?

Go on television and advertise that way.

well, my church does alot of things for a fundraiser and it doesn't have to have anything to do with church!!!

for example we were selling christ calenders, we had a fall festival but that really didn't cost any money but we made over 300 bucks on the calenders!!!

good luck with your fundraiser!!!

Some local shops may help for ex. a candle shop said they only wanted $5.50 for each candle we sold. We sold candles for $10.00.

How about a debate between an atheist and your best apologist.

how about a spelling competition?

You could start with the word CHURCH... unless of course you actually mean to raise money for your crotch or your crutch
