It's by choice for me, but only to save money for my survival.

Should've also mentioned the drive would either be 9 hours to my grandparent's or aunt's house, or 50 hours to my parent's house.

Gray, if you are being a scrooge and not sending at least gift cards for stores like Wal-Mart, or something like that to your relatives that is your problem, even though I can understand why you don't chose to drive anywhere. I am spending Christmas alone even though I would love not to but for me it's not my choice, because my 2 dearest friends are going out of town to their family's for the holiday when I can't go. It's not so bad spending the holiday alone because you can watch tv, eat whatever you want, do whatever you want. Call your family members on the phone on either Christmas Eve or Christmas Day (I usually call all of my friends that don't live here on x-mas day) and wish them a Merry Christmas.

Why don't you volunteer and serve Christmas dinner for the homeless? Or you could help at an animal shelter or a nursing home.

Christmas isn't about money- it's about giving time and love from yourself. Sniff sniff.

Hun, you aren't a scrooge you are doing what you need to do to be responsible. That's all.

You aren't the only one who will be alone either.

FIRST OF ALL YOUR NOT ALONE GOD IS WITH YOU AT ALL TIMES SECOND OF ALL IF YOU CANT AFFORD TO BUY GIFTS THATS OK AND YOU SHOULDNT STAY HOME YOU STILL SHOULD BE WITH FAMILY YOU CAN GIVE THE BEST GIFT THE GIFT OF LOVE IT DOESNT COST YOU ANYTHING ITS NOT SUPPOSE TO BE ABOUT GIFTS ANYWAY ITS ALL ABOUT THE LOVE OF GOD SHOWED US BY SENDING HIS SON TO DIE FOR OUR SINS SO PLEASE GO BE WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS THEY SHOULDNT EXSPECT GIFTS IF SO SHARE THE BIBLE WITH THEM IF THEY LOVE YOU THEY WONT CARE IF YOU HAVE NO OTHER GIFT FOR THEM. REMEMBER YOU ARE NOT ALONE AND THAT DOESNT MAKE YOU A SCROOGE IT JUST SHOWS YOUR SMART AND THEY SHOULD UNDERSTAND
