Personally, since there was a pope named "John Paul," I think the next pope should be named "George Ringo."

Popes choose their names and they usually use the names of past popes or a name from the bible...last I checked Ralph and Leroy were not two of the disciples.

maybe because they are not biblical names. i guess names like "john paul" has a nice ring to it because of its biblical tone. ralph and leroy are just ordinary. good question never thought about that before

Because the Catholic religion won't accept names like that. They don't sound religious.
