If an atheist died and went to heaven, it would be full of self-righteous christians. So to an atheist this would really be hell.

In an earlier question I asked if the bible was the definitive word of God.Most said yes.
As that is the case,how can you worship a god that condones slavery,child abuse and murder?

If they were giving an award for stupid overasked question of the year, where would your vote go?

a) If atheists don't believe in god, why are there on R & S ?

b) Justify your beliefs to me now so that I may make fun of them and you. (Usually phrased a little differently, and there are lots of variations on this)

c) Why are those mean and hateful, stupid (insert religion) idiots always bashing us innocent (insert another religion) and being disrespectful?

d) (Insert random bible quote) Doesn't this PROVE that god exists and everyone who doesn't agree with me is going to hell?

e) (Insert Dogmatic rant) Do you agree? Or are you an idiot?

f) My god is awesome!!!! Praise him!!!! Feel the love!!!! or burn forever!!!!

Or do you have another suggestion? :)

I'm getting tired of seeing fellow atheists have to apologize for our beliefs, and have to try and justify them to others, when its unfair that these religions go around impregnating the young with the idea that their religion is the default correct position. The entire problem with these religions is that they assume their own validity and present themselves as the truth, when, in fact, none of them can conclusively prove anything they assert. And somehow its wrong for an atheist to try an advocate his/her position? How's that? It is the MISSION of most religions (esp. xtianity) to convert as many as possible to the flock, and to ensure that all children within their realm are instructed in their beliefs before they are even old enough to think for themselves. Its time for us to rise up and cast off these liars, hypocrites and phonies and expose them for what they are. Just because you bill yourself as the truth does not make it so, and claiming virtuosity shall not be a shield

Us Christians have the Bible, the Muslims have the Quran, Mormons have their Holy book I suppose, Catholics also have a diffirent Bible, I think, looks like all religios groups have something. What about you(Atheist)? Do you have some sort of rule or book or something. I know that there is another riligious group that say they life by the spirit. What about you.

Now, I'd listen to Johnny's or Sinead's voicemail messages if they were released on CD, but it still seems a bit odd to me that I like these songs.

My daughter (first baby so far) will be 11 months this christmas and i want to start a holiday tradition with her that i can also do with any other children that i will have. It doesn't have to be done on christmas day, but it's something that i'd like to do now and continue to do with my future grandchildren for the holidays. Any ideas? Thanks.

Just watched the DaVinci Code and I must say it gets better every time I watch it,doesn't everybody else agree? And Dan Browns Angels And Demons is in production soon too,is anyone else looking forward to it as much as I am?

While it may be fictional in actual events,perhaps,don't you think DaVinci Code was almost insightful in it's ability to see the Church for the type of organization it truly is?

As a young White male I find a lot of Black women very attractive but I rarely see women that look African on TV protrayed as beautiful. Even in African American shows and magazines the lighter skin girls are preferred. There are a lot of East African beauties like Liya Kebede, Iman, Alek Wek, Yasmin Warsime etc.. who absolutely gorgeous but you never see that many of them protrayed as beautiful. As well as West African beauties such as Agbani Darego, and Oluchi Onweagba who are gorgeous but you never see that as much as the lighter skin models and actresses.

I am curious what you think.
Here in the Northwest we have people who do really stupid things such as sun bathing on our beach's (which is really cold anyways) out on our rocks, so when tide comes in they get stuck out there, one guy did this and was nude!
We had kids from another state get lost up in the ski slops and not dressed properly.
There is so many more people who do what we consider stupid things and search and rescue have to go get them.
Should these people have to pay the search and rescue bill out of there own pocket? I no they do charge a few of these people, but us tax payers pay the biggest chunk.
I realize these people are usually not from here and do not understand nature, but should Oregonians have to flip the bill for there ignorance?

You know, the type with no respect or kindness, who is arrogant and embarrasses people and isn't funny, but they think they are hot shots. I seem to attract this type of person and am sometimes offended by their stupidity and annoying behavior. What is the best way to handle it? I have given them a dirty look or two.

I just want to say that I'm not Catholic--I'm Orthodox. I just wanted to see what you think about this. Why did the Catholic church accept gays/lesbians? It just doesn't make sense.....it says in the Bible that man is to be with a woman.....not man with a man, or woman with a woman! If the Catholics preach this, then why are they giving "acceptions"? If you ask me, they're all nuts!
