Apparently here in the UK, we have less Public Holidays than most of Europe and around the world. Should the government give us more and bring us in line with other countries???

Several religions accept poligamy, like mormons and muslems. In the western Christian/Catholic culture in which I grew up, poligamy is inmoral and monogamy is linked to fidelity. The lack of fidelity is both inmoral and punishable by law (adultery). Is there a concept like fidelity linked to poligamy, in a religion or moral paradigm that accepts poligamy (such as mormons and muslems)?

My boyfriend knows pretty much nothing about God, but I can tell he wants to. He is a really special guy that I have been dating for 4 years and we are very close. He keeps a bible and he asks questions about God sometimes.
I grew up Catholic and I have had religion my whole life. I have offered to take him to church and sometimes he'll say yes. But I dont know how much satisfaction he'll get in a Roman Catholic ceremony when no one has ever taught him anything about God or religion. I dont know where to start...please help!!
How can I get him to know God?
What do I say?
If a missonary goes into the world to talk to people who don't know God...what do they say to make them understand?

I am working on a fiction book, and I am seeking people with a Western native English speaking parent and an Eastern Bengali speaking parent. I'm wanting to do interviews to get a feel for the psychology of a person with connections to both. (This is NOT for money. It's for research purposes only.)

Is there really a point in or a place in society for religion these days isn't religion just the need for answers, and now we know most of the answers what is the point. Let me know because I am confused as to why so many people still feel the reason to beleive in a personal god well except for Indoctrination.

I rail against the catholic church for their atrocities, as well as muslim extremists, as do you atHeists.
However, I never hear one atheist rail against the evolutionist atheists who murdered MILLIONS of people just this century.

You know, Stalin, Mao, Hitler (people say he was a catholic, I highly doubt it, he was in cahoots with the Pope maybe) - why do you never mention these evil men killing in the name of survival of the fittest?

look really unevolved? You ever noticed that? Eyes real close together, eyebrow ridges, big furry hands and feet. "I believe God created me in one day" Yeah, looks liked He rushed it.

I am attending a black tie (Hogmanay) Ball and need to know acceptable styles/ colours for ball gowns - and do they have to flare out quite so much at the bottom - Is blue velvet (long, semi flared at the base) acceptable? or a long, black fitted dress which is narrow at the bottom - I take it that a wrap/ shawl/ scarf is a non-negotiable? Also, how can I tell if a dress is intended to be a bridesmaid's dress or an evening dress? Help! - are there any socialites out there? (I've finally decided to play instead of work - but it seems that I haven't received the rules for the game)
