Ok, I am a mom of 3, and I LOVE the holidays...but, has anyone else noticed that people are decorating earlier each year for Christmas? We had some people in our town who have the entire house and yard covered in Santa's and reindeer. It isnt even December yet!! Some of them had Christmas stuff out before Halloween. Like I said, I love the holidays, but does anyone else agree that the Christmas decorations shouldnt come out untill after Thanksgiving? I thought trimming the tree and other decorating was part of the Thanksgiving get together. I dont mean to sound mean if I do.. but goodness. Tis the season.

Does any 1 agree with me when i say tat there r 2 few sexes on this planet? What if there were 7 different sexes? One 4 every day of the week! My minde cannot even begin 2 comprehend such a wonderful thing. Some shared thoughts on this question would b interesting.

If you think becoz of re-writing and putting "dramatic" effects in the words of bible explains its contradictions. think again... if you observe those contradictions, they arent just any common small-gapped contradictions, but they DO contrast each other ALOT...

and why would anyone re-write the bible sooo many times? if ur concerned that the carrier of words might wear out, then you must "copy" exactly what was written before and not blend your lies and fabrications onto it....why was there a N-E-E-D to write something "ELSE"?

ok i will tell more about my gf, she claimed she moved from one city to another in the usa from her parents to her aunts, but she was on a web cam talking to me and the rooms before and after were the same also her ip address was, then claimed needed rent for aunts, so i checked her out with an investigation agent cos i was paying my hard earned cash, and they identified her parents as living there by there names which i knew and by the name of a van of a well known cable operator, so it all fits she lieing, do u agree and am i being paronoid or protecting my position i love her but feel cheated and am very angry

I became depressed, and too scared to go to school due to my mother's parenting. she wouldn't go out of the house/answer the phone/meet anyone for years and years. I didn't have any social skills/got bullied and never met anyone. no-one stopped the bullying. also...she married my dad to get out of the abusive situation at home....and after a few years she began to regret this...and they were sort of split up but living within the same house.
I begame school phobic...but no-one ever sought me any help from the doctors, never, also my needs weren't being adequately met.I became severely depressed and couln't think properly after losing 2 people. I was too scared to grieve since my mum didn't like one of them and i was scared of her reaction. anyway....I missed 4 years of school...and i was MENTALLY ill with depression...but no-one sought me any help/tablets/or anything. is this not abuse/neglect??Was it up to me to get myself out of the depression??
I missed 3 years of school on-and-off....was still ill.....came out of school altogether...didn't know what to do....and ended up having 3 measly hours of home education and got G grades in my GCSEs (apart from a D/C grade in English) i was mentally ill with depression....but yet no-one sought help for my depression/or my school phobia. is this not abuse? then no-one helped me /really supported me in what i could do next.....and I sat at home until I am now 18. I am now on anti-depressants.I canot BELIEVE what's happened. my life is RUINED. WHY was this ALLOWED to happen to me? did my parents neglect me/abuse me ...or not? what should I do about this? i live in England

This question is not for religious bigots. I do not hate non-Christians, I am looking for honest answers.

I am ok with you celebrating your holidays and I would be happy to celebrate them with you! I respect your right to do as you wish.

Why is it than, that many non -Christians claim to be insulted by my religious celebration. Christmas is not about insulting people. (And it's not about santa as many wrongly assume though he is a fun addition) Merry Christmas is not a curse! (and you do get holidays for it.)

Why do you want to take away my Christmas tree or God forbid a nativity?

I would welcome a dispay of your religion. Put up lights and celebrate anything you want. I welcome any civilized answers.

I am a Japanese and have been studying English for 11 years. I've got an general American accent because I often watch CNN news at home. But I will live in London next year and would like to be polite and respect the British culture and society. Do you think I should learn RP instead of General American??
I've read a book ' Does Accent Matter?' and it said ethnic miniorities who speak RP are welcomed and accepted by the British society and I would like socialise with the mainstream in the U.K not other minorities.
