In light of the horrific racist attack on a Glasgow teenager, some political groups are claiming that racist attacks on white people are far greater than the establishment and the media would have us believe. Is this true or is it simply a case of 'political manipulation' of the facts?

The highest risk was for Pakistani and Bangladeshi people at 4.2 per cent, followed by 3.6 per cent for Indian people and 2.2 per cent for Black people. This compared with 0.3 per cent for White people.

Indeed. It goes back to the argument that if you walk down the street and punch a white man in the face, its assault, but if you walk down the road and punch a black man in the face, its racially aggrevated assault. My dad is a magistrate and sees it every day. The latter offence of course is far greater punishment. It is postive discrimination and there seems not many laws and accounts of white people being attacked because the PC government likes to pander to minorities incase of causing upset. Unfortunately an assault is just an assualt in 90 % of attacks but the law likes to label things if a colour/race is involved. Maybe with the tragedy of the Glasgow teenager things may change. But sadly till we get rid of Blair and his cronies i think not :(

Well someone we know (a white guy) was brutally attacked by a Pakistani neighbour with a truncheon, and the Pakistani guy got off scott free!
The Pakistani guy told the police he'd done the attack because the victim had called him a "racist name". so the victim was arrested (after coming out of hospital with 15 stitches to a head wound) for "making racist remarks".
It seems, therefore that its OK if you are an ethnic minority to pick up a truncheon and beat the cr@p out of someone and put them in hospital with severe head injuries if they are white. You will not be arrested or charged for it.
But if you are white and you call someone (who is non white) an insulting or racist name you will be arrested and charged.
This is called UNFAIR TREATMENT people.
But that it what it going on in the UK today. The media goes mad when a black or asian person is attacked by a white attacker but when the boot is on the other foot its much more low key and the police are often unwilling to press charges.

I am getting feb up to the back teeth .of you white people thinking that you are getting a raw deal.racism is bad no matter who does it .the news papers feed you with just what you want to hear to feed your fear .and you all lap it up .it works like this if you want to stir up the nation start a race issue .it's been done for years .Hitler did it Adi Armin did it and that's just for starters .if every one of colour and non Christians were to leave tomorrow .some other prejudice would take it's place .it might even be about hair colour next.blondes against dark hair or ginger hair .oh wait you do that already .see how stupid it is .you talk about the Glasgow teenager and of course it's sad and wrong.it would be sad and wrong no matter who the victim was black white pink or blue .you know what i can't be bothered .i've got lots to say but i don't think it's what you want to hear so i'll leave you all to it

Another dose of defensive nazi babble. White people nowadays are living in a state of terror and do come up with all kinds of crap to justify their base racist natures. I know for a fact how much abuse people of minorities go through and the violence they face everyday. Who do you think are the perpatrators of this violence?
You bring up the Glasgow case, this one single event against decades of abuse and violence? Are you okay in the head?

probably... just people don't go to the police about it, or it just gets labelled as an attack instead of racial or whatever.
