I'm in a really bad situation. I was neglected/suffering abuse at home...I missed 4 years of high school...and got G grades in my GCSEs as a consequence (apart from in English) I'm scared because I dont even know basic stuff such as how to use a bus, how to cook, etc....I have been severely depressed and as no-one's helped me sat at home ding nothing for the past 2 years. I am now 18. I cannot believe this is happening...it's like a nightmare. What on earth should I do? I haven't a clue how to fix my education? even if I did have....i still have a problem......my mum still doesn't look after me/is abusive. She behaves as though she doesn't want me to ever become independant/have a life. she wouldn't support me even if I went to college. I feel so scared. Should I try to move out into a Foyer?? they are a place for homeless young people which offer training and support too....but I don't even know if this would work....I don't have a clue how I would get there(no-one would take me and I don't have a clue how to use a bus) and for example to live there you need to claim benifits(I don't have a CLUE what this even means) that's how bad things are/were...that's how ill I was with depression. I cannot believe this has been allowed to happen.
Does anyone know out there what I should do?
I don't know if I could even work out how to fix my education AND how to live in a Foyer. it's so hard. Would I have anyone looking after me in a Foyer? I mean really looking after me? How can I fix my education? people say do GCSEs...but I can't as I'm too far behind in my work (they only cover work from the last 2 years in school....and I missed years of school even from before then) I'm so so scared. I don't have ANYONE in my life to help me. my relatives i haven't had contact with for about 6 years properly...i don't have ANYONE. i'm so scared. PLEASE HELP!! what should I do?
plus it's even worse because I'll now be 19 years old before I can even start on any sort of college course...and I haven't been to school properly/had a normal life since age 11.
PLEASE HELP!!! I feel like there is no way out.

To church by myself? I don't go to church as often as I would like to because i'm away from my family and my home church and living somewhere else. There is a church I like to go to but I don't like to go by myself. Church starts in a couple of hours and I know that if my friend doesn't go then I won't go either. I don't know why. Everyone is really nice and very welcoming at this church but I just feel shy going to church alone. I know it's stupid so how do I stop only going to church when someone is there to go with me?

Was the Bible compiled by politicians (by compiled I mean they choose which Gospels to add etc and which to leave out)?
Is there really a Gopel of Mary Magdalene?
Did the church demonize other beliefs/people they did not want included/worshipped etc (ie the Pagan horned God became the basis for a horned devil)?

I know what I think but I was wondering is this taken to be true by everyone or just some? Are these ideas offensive to Christians (sorry if they are, I mean no offence... just curious)?

, I understand the reasons why. We have friends who have been couples for 25 years yet they have no right to each others estates if they were to die. I also only ever hear the word homophobe - which is absurd. When I mention the work heterophobe i get laughed as as if only one side has fears issues.

Is it better to buy a tree from a grower who replants, or to buy a good fake that you could use for years?

Christians tend to think that complex structures we see in the Universe must point to an Intelligent Designer..

I for one feel that God is a horrible Designer and the human body is saddled with vulnerability to viruses and bacteria, vestigial traits and weak physical attributes (compared to many mammals)

I give God a 4/10.

All prophesy is self-fulfilling. Because it takes into account human nature.
Stubbornness when it comes to heeding warnings, and the overreacting when

In the UK, hardly a week goes by without a news story of a gang of youths beating someone who death who asked them not to drop litter or keep the noise down, etc. Or stabbing someone to death on a bus. Or giving someone brain damage when he dared to interevene as they vandalised his car.

Now, this didn't happen 20 years ago. Make no mistake. It's not a case of the older generation always viewing the younger one as worse. This younger generation is much more violent. There's no doubt about it. In the 1980s you didn't fear walking down the high street because of groups of young people.

we have
taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider freeways,
but narrower viewpoints. We spent more, but have less,
we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and
smaller families, more
conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but
less sense, more knowledge, but less judgement, more
experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less
wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too
recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too
angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too
little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom. We
have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our
values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate
too often.

We've learned how to make a living, but not a life.
We've added years to life not life to years. We've
been all the way to the moon and back, but have
trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbour. We
conquered outer space but not inner space. We've
done larger things, but not better things.

We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've
conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write
more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish
less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build
more computers to hold more information, to produce
more copies than ever, but we communicate less and
less.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion,
big men and small character, steep profits and shallow
relationships. These are the days of two incomes but
more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These
are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway
morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and
pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to
kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom
window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when
technology can bring this letter to you, and a time
when you can choose either to share this insight, or
to just hit delete.

Remember, spend some time with your loved ones, because
they are not going to be around forever.

Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to
you in awe, because that little person soon will grow
up and leave your side.

Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you,
because that is the only treasure you can give with
your heart and it doesn't cost a cent.

Remember, to say, "I love you" to your partner and
your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and
an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from
deepinside of you.

Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for
someday that person will not be there again.

Give time to love, give time to speak, and give time
to share the precious thoughts in your mind.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take,
but by the moments that take our breath away.
