It's slightly baffling that they vehemently oppose evolution, and stem cell research.
Is it actually to project a religion to counter communism initially and the rise of Islam or to bind the citizens under one banner and for social engineering

Has anyone heard of the Tamil Tigers? Well it's a terrorist group set up with the help of American and British supporters, their main objective is to gain a homeland for the Tamil people (people of Tamil nadu India) of the World, as there are about 50 million around the world but has no country, these people are fighting the democratically elected Sri Lankan government, back in the days the capitalist west supported the Idea simply because they wanted to bring down the socialist government of sri lanka (didn't matter that it was elected by the people)

These terrorist perfected the suicide bombing long before the Muslims did, they even killed a former Indian Prime Minister (Rajiv Gandhi) using a suicide bomber, before 9/11 ALL Muslim related suicide bombing were under 30 where as the tigers had carried out over 260, NOW WHEN THE WHOLE WORLD IS FIGHTING A SO CALLED WAR ON TERROR THE WESTERN COUTRIES ARE PUSHING THE SRI LANKAN GOVERNMENT TO NEGOTIATE WITH THESE TIGERS, WHY?

My russian/jewish boyfriend of 5 yrs recently broke up with me saying "I know I love you, I would propose to you today! I just am confused. My parents will never accept it, I have a history..." I obviously know him (5 years) and I know his parents would be angry, But I know they would get over it. He also is not very religious at all. He has been in a temple a total of like 3 times. He eats pork.. ON PASSOVER... But he says "its more about history and tradition and I feel like im responsible for keeping the jewish lineage"... And then on other hand says "im just not sure. Im confused" So hes bsically not saying he is completely set in his idea that we cant be together.... Anyways.. How can I make it work? I could convert.. But that isnt even the issue, its more history! How do i make it work?

Many will say proof is in reading the bible. I've read Winnie the Pooh but that doesn't prove there is a 100 Acres Woods. Other's will tell me the mear fact that I am here on earth or that I have children is proof that God exist and yet we know how life is procreated. Prayer and god were not present at conception or delivery. If in the beginning there was Adam and Eve, where are the dinasuars (which we can prove existed).
We know what causes disease and yet we often say that God wanted that person to "come home". Why does it have to be so painful? How can we say that a child was sexually abused and murdered 'cause God needed them in heavin?
Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?
We base our belief on what was written and re-written over the centuries and indoctrinate our children, like skinheads teach their children predjudice and other countries teach their children to hate Americans.

My twin brother is gay, it has never been an issue, for our family until now.
My fiancee and I travelled to my grandparents home for the Thanksgiving Holiday week. we were met at the airport by my brother and his boy friend. Everything was ok during the ride home, when we got there, my BF and I were settling into our room, when he asked me if my brother was gay, I said yes, my BF asked for his engagement ring back, and called a cab for the airport. He said he could not marry a girl whose family condoned such behavior, He would not put his future children at risk.
Im devistated. I didn't think my brothers sexuality was such an issue!
what should I do?

- Scourge of aids, malnutrition, genocide, wars, etc.. currently in Africa.
- The question is not about whether blacks in America are "special" but rather are they here through divine protection.

if I often think about having sex with my engaged one... we never do it-- we're saving it for marriage. It doesn't feel wrong when I think about it, but I just wondered if it was adulterous. Please be practical if you are going to use theology. Thanks.

Here's an idea...
Why don't all of us LBGT's posting here go over to the Family & Relationships section and start answering some of those questions? Not to be hateful, but just put our slant on the answers.
See you there!

The books say there are rules, but then people who say they obey these rules still offend us. Are there more rules that aren't written? And if an change that we are not prepared for a shock that kills us over time, then isn't all movement and thought sin? And isn't IS or the source of all that is within us producing all of this difference all the time and therefore isn't that a source of Sin? If IS is the source of all sin, then isn't IS the creator and apparently creation at the same time?

I mean, like the gospels, how do we know that there were no mistakes or alterations made from the original gospels? And please don't say anything about divine inspiration or divine guidance, cause that's a pretty weak argument to an atheist, or someone of another religion. There were no printing presses in those days, so how could we be sure that the writings were not changed, maybe by accident, human error, etc? Cause the Jehovah's Witness' bible is quite different from mainstream bibles, so how can we be sure that there was no deviation?
