I find it amusing that people use 2 Timothy 3:16 to try and prove that the NT was inspired by God. Do you people not realize that when that statement was made there was no NT? Scripture to a Jew in the 1st cent. was what you call the OT and nothing else.

2Timothy 3;16 says that all scripture is inspired by God. This means that although every book of the Bible was written by a human hand, it was God the Holy Spirit who put it into the men's minds what to write and this includes Paul.

2 Timothy 3:16

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Paul was inspired by GOD to write what he did. It would be sort of like a boss dictating a letter to a secretary to write except that GOD also was able to use each writers personal style.

Obviously, they aren't, although believers consider them to be divinely inspired. I have never found any reason to believe in divine inspiration of those books -- or any book.
