Atheists have no standards

Wow what is with all the Atheist bashing today? So far I've seen 4 new questions posted in the last 30 minutes aimed at disrespecting Atheist. People need to understand that this is a public forum. Not just a forum for bible-thumping christians alone. Anyone may and trust me, anyone will be posting on this forum, regardless of their religion. If some of these people can't handle that, they don't need to be part of a forum that is open to the public.

Anyways, now that I'm done with that little rant. Not every religion or lifestyle must have a holy book. I'm a Druid, and we have no set text or written holy book that guides our religion and lifestyle. Our rules and holy traditions are passed down from generation to generation through song, dance, and stories. There are countless books on the Druid philosophy out there, but no holy book.

No, we don't have any book or our own rules like religions. We only have one common belief really, the belief that there is no god. We have different views and ideas about everything else, so we all go our own separate ways. Science substitutes those holy books for some atheists, but probably not for all.

Differs from person to person. I don't personally. I read up on philosophy and ethics, and on science, but I don't think there is truly one book you can live by. Plus, I'm not an absolutist - I can't live by set rules, I think there should be exceptions or at least a hierarchy - lying is a lot less serious than murder to me, for example.

Most athiests follow their "righteous-holy guide of there conscious".

And some athiests follow philosophy, rather than religion.

And some athiests follow a religion called Buddhism. For Buddhists do not believe in any deity or deities.

Christians are never to judge other people, as Jesus said. In fact, no one should judge another.

Matthew 7:1-5 "Do Not judge and criticize and condemn others, so that you may not be judged, criticized and condemned yourselves !
For judge as you judge, and criticize and condemn others, you Will Be judged, criticized, and condemned, and in accordance with the measure you [use to ] deal out to others, it Will be dealt out again to you.
Why do you stare at the very small particle at anothers eye but are not mindful, aware of and consider the beam, the log of timber that is in your own eye ? You hypocrite (Jesus' Words, not mine), first get the beams of timber out of your eyes, and then you might see clearly enough to take the tiny particle out of anothers eye !!" Amplified Bible of the Hebrew/Greek Holy Scriptures.

It would take an entire lifetime if not longer, to take all the many logs out of our eyes, in order to see clearly enough to take "the tiny particle, a tiny speck out of anothers eye"!!
Judge Not !! Period. That sums it up. Christians are not to judge, period. And I believe that No one should judge at all.

If we do judge others we are being
self-righteous, thus we are "willfully" sinning against God and against our conscious.

Something else that is important for us to always remember is:

God will not, He does not forgive us our sins Unless we forgive the sins of those that hurt, or offend us. Unless we forgive those who irritate us. (Matthew 6:14, 15 Please Read)

1 John 1:9 it totally dependant on Matthew 6:14, 15 !!!

And some athiests ready and study the bible, the quran, the tanak, and many other scriptures.

Hope this answered your question to some degree.

Good Question. THANK YOU !!!

P.S. - What do you really catagorize yourself as being ? Many people, besides christians read the bible, in its many, various translations.

I'm simply curious. Reply back please. thank you.

I noticed a man run around the floor of a pool stuffed with a non-Newtonian fluid hence God is truly, and likewise the soul is an invisible organ within the human frame that is teleported to one in every of 2 parallel universes, both heaven or hell after we die.

It does not matter what we claim, as one species we all follow our hearts this is the connection to The Truth. We are all one we are never separate except in time when we choose to separate ourselves from The Truth. By being separate in religion we are separate from God. Being of the belief of one True God, (There are many so called demi gods by their own self importance. So those don't really count.) we are all connected to God as one. If you so choose the (Ick) religion; common beleif ( that feels better)of spirituality we are as one with many differnt paths to the Truth. Then there is no better or worse way. No judgment, unity -
UNI- VERSE. One song of Creation! May we all sing from our hearts and what beautiful music we will create. Ther are not just tenors or just flutists We are an orcastra in the band and choir of hue-manity. Let your light shine sisters and brothers!!!

Another Atheist question, geeeeeeeeeee?

Oh, and Catholics don't have "a different Bible"

You seem to be very ignorant and judgemental.

Seek knowledge...................maybe wikipedia
or try the Douay Rheims Catholic Bible.

Well, we're not members of a religion (I don't consider a lack of belief in something a religion) so we don't have a "holy book." For rules, I live by what is decided upon by my society, i.e. the law.

We don't need a book to tell us what's right; we already know what's right. We use a combination of common sense and the natural ability that human beings have to be able to differentiate right from wrong. We don't need some ancient text to spell it out for us.
