I'm getting tired of seeing fellow atheists have to apologize for our beliefs, and have to try and justify them to others, when its unfair that these religions go around impregnating the young with the idea that their religion is the default correct position. The entire problem with these religions is that they assume their own validity and present themselves as the truth, when, in fact, none of them can conclusively prove anything they assert. And somehow its wrong for an atheist to try an advocate his/her position? How's that? It is the MISSION of most religions (esp. xtianity) to convert as many as possible to the flock, and to ensure that all children within their realm are instructed in their beliefs before they are even old enough to think for themselves. Its time for us to rise up and cast off these liars, hypocrites and phonies and expose them for what they are. Just because you bill yourself as the truth does not make it so, and claiming virtuosity shall not be a shield

Hello Scotty Gecko.. :)
As Christians, should we stop passively letting non-believers and others trample us, and instead fight back?
Yes, we should for: Blessed are those that are persecuted..
I will never tire of seeing fellow Chrsitians not have to apologize for our beliefs, and have to try and justify them to others, even though its unfair, that these non-believers go around impregnating the young with the idea that their non-beliefs are the default correct position. The entire problem with these non-believers, is that they assume their own validity and present themselves as the truth, when, in fact, none of them can conclusively prove anything they assert.
And somehow its wrong for an Christian to try an advocate his/her position? How's that? It is the MISSION of most non-believers (esp. Atheist) to convert as many as possible to their certainity, and to ensure that all children within their realm are instructed in their non-beliefs before they are even old enough to think for themselves. It's not time for us to rise up and cast off these people, hypocrites and phonies and expose them for what they are. We are to Love them, the way Jesus first Loved us.
Just because you bill yourself as the truth does not make it so, and claiming virtuosity shall not be a shield.

I changed the wording to show how we both can make the same claim.. :(
I Love you all..please let us stop, condeming one another..
In Jesus Most Precious Name..
With Love..In Christ.. :)

I've never persecuted an Atheist. In fact, to believe in the folly that there is nothing more than the physical aspect of this world takes a considerable amount of faith.
Actually, I find Atheists continually persecute me and I constantly forgive them for doing so. You can' show what your faith consists of if you avoid someone who needs help. I'm sorry for anyone who has attacked you with religion, but your arrogance and brash actions won't make you much different.
Remember, you are also the liar, hypocrite, and phony.

I agree with you..
But I consider it unnecessary for people to be arguing about their beliefs..
A belief is something that you personally have faith in..
Therefore I think it is no one else's right to insult what you believe in,
when it doesn't concern any aspect of their life.
I don't think atheists,or any other religion for that fact should have to fight back,
If you already have a strong belief in it what does it matter what other people believe in?
I'm convinced that many people use religion as an excuse to start fights..

Totally we should. But people's beliefs are important to them - I feel I have little to lose really, whereas if I converted them to Atheism, they'd lose a lot in the way of comfort and possibly happiness.

I will not apologize for my beliefs. But the world has enough fighting on it already. So when you show hate and anger that is what you will get in return. Remember Like attracts like
And we all have to share the planet we live on.

You can have your non-beliefs all day long, I won't even try to change your mind. Nor am I asking you to apologize for what you do or don't believe.
But why in the world would you want to be in the R&S section of Yahoo! Answers if you don't believe and are not interested in the religious and faith of others?

I believe christianity, along with the rest of the active mythologies, will bring their own destruction.
Science, and atheism in turn, will continue to gain strength for as long as their is competition for survial.

No, you shouldn't allow us to trample over you. Give us a good fight. Keep it interesting. Just know that in the end, you lose.
