Religious Dogma is man-made. God is bigger than anything.
However, God is not just love. God is infinite. God is all knowing. God is all powerful. God is everywhere. There are so many attributes to God, the Bible is full of them. For example, God is jealous - but in a good way. He wants His people to be happy, and when they move away from Him they cannot know true happiness - so He's a jealous God. If you read the Bible - Old and New Testament - you will see hundreds of attributes attributed to God. And yes, love is free from envy - envy and jealousy are two different things.

In the infamous words of the veggietales...
God is bigger than the boogie man,
he's bigger than godzilla or the monsters on TV
God is bigger than the boogieman
And he's watching over you and me.......
I do love the sight of gyrating vegetables first thing in the morning afeter an hour and a half of sleep. Perhaps that is why I am being so silly with all of my answers. I shall go and reflect on this...

Of course God is bigger than dogma. We will find this out to our pleasure after we pass on. Love is all there is. I think that personal relationships are more important to God than any amount of religious ritual we can think of. (I guess that's what happens when one adheres to a Goddess based belief system, huh?)

god made a pact with somebody ( i forgot his name) that said that whatever you hold true on earth I will hold true in heaven. Religious dogma is therefore, by the transitive property, devine law, so no, god isn't bigger than religious dogma.
no, i do not agree with that, because God's love will falter upon some major sins

To the first question I say, WAY!
And, yes, those who hang out with God will show forth these qualitites of 1 Corinthians 13. Some are content to be Christian in name only, content to call themselves Christian. Some are Christian because they sincerely seek to cultivate a walk with God in their daily lives.
And many are maturing in their walk. People can only show forth what they know of God. And that is why the Bible urges us to follow on to know the Lord after repenting of dead works.

I think while you are judging those who believe in God and their actions, they do not mean wrong when they answer, they are only trying to help others see the light. So pulling up a list of what God is will not help you. Because those who belive in God do follow that list, it may not seem that way to you because you are spiritully blind, as God made you. It is the truth, it is written, it is not a matter about judging, it is a fact God himself said, you do not accept me you will surely die. That is not our judging that is HIS word.

I have said for decades that the Creator is our parent, and if we allow it also our friend. We should act as any good parent would want their children to act towards each other.
