Just watched the DaVinci Code and I must say it gets better every time I watch it,doesn't everybody else agree? And Dan Browns Angels And Demons is in production soon too,is anyone else looking forward to it as much as I am?

While it may be fictional in actual events, perhaps, don't you think DaVinci Code was almost insightful in it's ability to see the Church for the type of organization it truly is?

i dug it. haven't seen the movie yet, I always wait for the dvd, but the book was great. Great stories are always part truth and part fiction...I loved it.

I think the DaVinci Code served it's intended purpose, to entertain. I'm glad to see you call it fictional. The concept was very well thought out and made for a great story. As far as it's reflection on the church as a whole, I'd have to disagree with you. There are some churches and church leaders that are not exactly what God would be proud of. Those are in the minority. Remember, everyone within any church organization is still filled with sinners. Although most attempt to live a Godly life, some will stray and sin in ways contray to the teachings of Jesus. These situations are not the norm and are not in any way shape or form condoned by actual Christians.

Fiction, the only actual info are those with regards to the area and outlines of the paintings and the rituals suggested i think of it is fulfillment is partly through fact he makes it sound so actual through fact he's mixing certainty and fiction , and he knows precisely a thank you to do it so which you get plenty historic suggestions yet does not sense like a background lesson considering you have the story and the characters at the back of it which shop you addicted to the radical it somewhat is an astounding e book

so you think that the Mona LIsa is Leonardo DaVinci in drag... hmmmmm.... interesting theory... but lets add a dose of realtiy

The Davinci code might make for exciting reading...but its truly bad scholorship... Da Vinch dat stole easter... was about as successful as the Grinch that stole Chrstmans... not
I recommend Phil Fernandez three part series on the Davinci code at www.sermonaudio.com

Dose of reality... 'the disciple who Jesus loved' in John... is it Mary or John... just as many books do not name the authour out of humity such as Luke or John... the author was clearly known... but lets look at the clues...

could it be Mary... no...Mary is named at the cross standing next to 'the disciple who Jesus loved'... split personnna... not
Mary is named as being at the cross and at the resurection as the first witrness... no problem mentioning her

could it be a woman... no... at the end of the book clearly named as a man.. and Jesus told mary his mother 'behold you son' and John behold your motehr as Jesus entrusted John to care for Jesus mother

in the end John is in Matthew Mark and Luke... John is not NAMED in john but MUST be there as he is in the other three. This akes John... the unamed disciple of John the baptist, the guy leaning on Jesus at the last supper, the guy who went into the high priests house and watched the trial, the one apostle at the cross. at the resurection and at the way cool fish breakfast with Jesus

In the end John is a powerful witness to the ministry, death and resurection of Jesus... and ... I guess that means The Davinci Code missed the boat by a mile

I don't like the Catholic Church, so with that I agree with you. However, just remember that the Da Vinci Code is just fiction, so much of what it says about the Church is in reality fiction, or greatly exaggerated.

I did not watch it and as ypou know it is fictional you must see it is evil to devide the christians or none christians. I am not saying there may not be some truth in the way the catholic church ran but certainly not in Jesus being married.
