Can a house be haunted if no one has ever died in that home or on that property before, and there's no antique objects that could be haunted ? If so, where would the spirit come from and why ?

I postulate that religious people commit more crimes in the US. Are there any websites that either corroborate or refute this?

Have you noticed that most of the inflammatory, racists, homophobic, anti-religious, stupid, or completely idiotic questions posted on Yahoo Answers are coming from people who are at level 1?

I very rarely see idiotic questions coming from people who are level 2 and higher, so I’m going to have to come to the conclusion that either the newcomers here are abused children acting out, or these so-called new comers are actually people who have multiple accounts.

What do you think?

People continue to discriminate eachother based upon religious or spiritual belief. Example: Christians and Athiests shoving their views down eachothers throats. Just face the facts: You cannot disprove God, and yet you cannot completely prove that God exists either. We need to reach at least some level of agreement or this controversy will never end. The arguments will not cease. But, all in all, that seems like a lot to ask for. Orthodox Christians and Catholics refuse to believe anything outside of their religion. Whereas Bitter Athiests refuse to let go of the fact that, at one time or another, someone tried "pushing" religion in their face. When will the CONDEMNATION end? Isn't anyone else tired of it? And my original question still bothers me, why is everyone so hypocritical?

Here are some simple odds for ya, with possible outcomes for each scenario:
If there is God:
Christians Win, Atheists Lose

If there is no God
Christians: Nothing; Atheists: Nothing

So its simple math, doesn't take a genious to realize that Win or Draw is a better bet than Lose or Draw.

You rational thinkers should be able to comprehend this I think.

I am a 24 Y/O Catholic woman who is having a baby in January. My Fiance` is not Catholic, but he wants to learn about our religion and I don't have all of the materials or experience necessary to answer his questions. I was hoping I could find some free Catholic material and hopefully bring him home to the Catholic Church.

Hi there, I live in an apartment with wood floors, the floor (neighbor's ceiling) is very thin and it is really a huge problem because every little sound transfer through it to the neighbor, I pretty much need to walk in my tip toes to try to not make noise during the nights but it doesn't work.

If I go to the bathroom she hears it, if I walk she hears it , if I turn on my computer she hears it and finally yesterday she got really mad and told me to shut up or else. I really don't know what I can possibly do, the landlord advertised her apartment as "very quiet" and we knew it was a lie, the apartment downstairs is unlivable because no matter what I do she will hear it, I cannot fly about my apartment and I can't adjust my life around her schedule, I live here too, it is really not my fault the floor is so thin. Anyways, how can I address this issue?, I think my neighbor and I need to have a talk but I really don't know if she will believe I am not trying to make noise.

was struck blind by God through Jesus and remained blind for 3 days. Paul was a ZEALOUS follower of Jehovah God of the Hebrews-he persecuted Jesus' followers until God through Jesus showed him (literally) the light and the error of his exclusionary religious beliefs.
Have YOU had a similair life changing revelation from God?

In Newyork times Scolastic magizine Upfront i read an article that was saying how since there is no official national language alot of people in America want to addopt English as the official national language not that you would have to speakle it but to have it becuse just to have a national language but on the other hand a lot of people do not want English as the nationa official national language becuase as they have pointed out Okay so if America addopts a national language why make it English after all as they pointed out most people who live here were immigrents to start out either them or their ansetors so here is my question do you think that America should addopt English as our official national language or should we leave it as it is now

personally i think that America should addopt two languages as our official national languages both english and spanish becuse they are the most popular I mena other countrys have more then one official language and they do fine

So, it's always an ongoing debate between Atheists (including myself) and, well, everyone else (mainly Christians) on who gets "bashed" the most.

I have said it is equal on both parts many times. However, today I read a new question that just got posted not to long ago that literally made me sick to my stomach. I am a very strong, open-minded person that normally doesn't take things personally, but this person took something that is still a sore subject, and used it against Atheists. I teared up I was so angry.

So tell me, everyone...Christians and Atheists, Buddhists and Wiccans, Jews and Mormons....

Is this taking things WAY too far?

Have we finally crossed the line into gross hatred?

Are we using things that have affected thousands, even millions, of people to hurt each other!?!?

Ugh...I'm going to go get sick now.
