Doctor, she worked hard for that title and would appreciate it if people used it. You could also ask you boyfriend how his mother prefers to be addressed and go with that. Better to use Dr. and have her correct you than use Mrs. and have her be offended.

If you meet her at her clinic then Doctor Montgomery; if you are going to meet her at her house Mrs. Montgomery and the say something like "I know you are a doctor" you do you like it when peple call you Doctor Montgomery outside your profession world? Then you can start a great conversation with her and she will appreciate you see her as a human being and that you are showing interest on what she does for fun or for a living!

Is she your Dr. ? No. This is a personal meeting. Call her Mrs. Montgomery. She'll probably tell you to call her something else anyway.

Mrs. Montgomery, unless you are going for a consultation..:P
and then ask her how she prefers to be adressed to, she will appreciate that.
Or you could ask your boyfriend that before you meet her, and if he tells you she has a thing for beying called dr... then call her dr...
good luck!!

I would probably save Mrs. Montgomery, unless you are meeting her in her workplace.
