Read Matthew 18:21 and 22. Now, there are two mathematical applications possible: multiply 70 times 7 or vice versa or to raise 70 to the 7th power (70x70x70x70x70x70x70) which will be equal to a larger figure. Whichever chosen is saying that we have to forgive over and over again regardless the offense(s) and offender(s). So hard to do.

Forgive and you'd be forgiven some human beings do no longer look to comprehend that that's rather an on the spot quote from Luke 6:37. And in case you theory this may be a mistake, those word are repeated in Matthew 6:14 and Mark 11:25. Forgiving others isn't a rely of selection, that's an on the spot command from our Lord, which some look to prefer to overlook approximately or rationalize away. yet there is not any way around this command. We won't carry grudges or shop money owed. we are obliged to forgive with the comparable grace and kindness with which God forgave us. you may bear in mind Jesus telling a parable (in Mat 18:23) of the guy who owed his grasp 6 billion funds – no longer very nearly as much as we owed God. This guy became forgiven his debt – only as we've been forgiven. however the comparable guy who became forgiven plenty does not forgive his co-worker who owed him .0001% of what he have been forgiven! Jesus’ verdict became that because of the fact the 1st servant does not forgive his chum, he would be held in charge to pay his debt additionally. So the thoughts are sparkling; the two we would desire to forgive others or we can be held answerable for our money owed.

Matthew 6:15 covers forgiveness.
I think you're referring to Luke 17 v. 3 or Matthew 18.
