Hi. i'm jamal, a villager in india. my village is located near the jungles where wild tigers live too. Generally, those tigers do not drift into human habitat, but once in a while a face to face meeting between unarmed human and full grown tiger occurs. The result of such meetings is mostly fatal for the villagers. Yesterday a wild tiger killed a 30 year old man who seemed to be lost and was searching for the way to village. My question is why did the tiger kill the man if he didn't want to eat him? i thought they kill only for food. And also how can such future tragedies be averted? advise would be appreciated.

My grandparents live in OK and saw a wild feline. Not house cat, dark brown & black, curled tail, longer hind legs than the front. All of the wildlife (squirrels, rabbits, and birds) have been disasappearing. What is it?

What the hell is it? I live in Oregon and last night a huge large brown beetle which made a musical like scream, (creepy) flew through my room bouncing off the walls into her room. LOL and at first I didn't see it until my daughter hunted it down cause it was in her room.lOL And when I saw this thing it was screaming because my wienner dog was trying or atleast thinking about tackling it, but after I saw thing I chased her away from it, I caught it and threw it out. But very curious to know what it was for I have never seen or heard noises like that before.

Often I hear about a bug or an insect or a fish living in the boonies of the Himalyas and which no one has even heard of before but scinece has this obsession of preserving them. Remember the little fish which stopped the construction of an important dam? Many species of animals became instinct over a peiod of illions of years, the dynasaurs for instance, and it didn,t seem to affect the envornment any. can anyone imagine if ptyroductils were still flying around>
