My lawn has many holes about 1 to 2 inches in diameter. New ones appear over night. We see these toads' heads and shoulders sticking out. When they see us they back up rapidly.
There is no dirt around the hole.
What makes the holes? How to prevent them? Any knowledge & advice appreciated.
David.

i heard from someone(somewhat of a reliable source) that in certain places on earth there are these organisms. They're in a sort of a hybernation. When the conditions are just right(perfect temp, rain, all that stuff) theyll come back to life so to speak. is this true? sounds kinda weird but im not sure

For example, chickens. Tons of chickens running around laying lots of eggs and not so many roosters. It seems that this phenomenon is confined to animals that produce yummy eats for all of us, so what, if any method is used to control the sex of said animals? Cows too. All these dairy cows giving milk. Where are their male counterparts?

The question is, where should I keep it? I read in several articles that I should keep the cocoon in a warm place. I also read in many articles that I should the cocoon in a colder area. I don't know what to do! So help a friend out. Any links are appreciated...

My mom found this spider in our hall way and we have no idea what it is. It has what seams to be 6 legs but it has 2, I guess mini legs, in the front of its body the it uses as well. We have had it in a little container trying to suffacate it and its been like 24 hours and it still hasn't died. We planned on killing it so we could examine it better, but we're not having any luck. It's body is about 1.5 cm long and about 1/2 cm wide. I'm not sure what it is but maybe someone else does. I hope someone can help me out... Thanks in advance.

I don't have a picture, but that's the best I can describe them... They're bigger than a bumblebee, almost... And they're fuzzy like bumblebees, and they have stripes like bumblebees, only instead og black and yellow, it's black and red.... they look JUST like ants otherwise. They're kinda creepy... what are they?

Take a cockroach for example! They already run fast and are difficult to kill, but now imagine it was the size of a rhino! Theye'd probably run faster than almost any sports car, and theye'd be strong enough to go about wrecking buildings and the like! And you'd probably need a heavy machine gun or rocket launcher to kill it effectively!
But now let's say rhinos were the size of bettles, they probably wouldn't last more than a week against other bugs!
Why is that? Anyone know? Thanks!
