I caught this crane fly in my garage but is almost the size of a dragonfly. It has a 3 inch wingspan. I saved it in a jar because I though no one would believe me.
so do they really get this big or is this thing a freak?

I am a woodcarver doing a spotted sandpiper, some of my reference photos seem to indicate some webbing while others do not. Is it something they can retract at will? Anyone got photos of sandpipers stretching for flight?
Thanks for any help you can provide

I live in central Kentucky and ran into this spider today. It was in a big web in between two bushes. It is furry and had really long legs. Also it was really fast.

I have about 5 outdoor toads living on my back porch. Some of them are big and the others are quite small. I think some of them are hungry, I was wondering what I can do to help them get food or if there is anything I may have in my home that I can lay out for them. Any suggestions? Oh and what happens to them in the winter? Thanks for any help!

i'm scared its poisonous, i found one about the size of a dime (including legs) on my golf bag and later another one about 1 tenth of that side. I think it had babies in my golf bag DX! But i'm scared they might be poisonous. Has anyone ever heard of such a spider?

have they always been bigger, stronger than Lions?, cause I've heard of some extinct Lion sub-species, such as the Barbary Lion, the Cape Lion. Also the North American Lion, which existed thousands of years ago, like towards the end of the Ice Age, was bigger than todays African Lions, but was it bigger than todays Siberian Tigers?, I know today in the present Tigers are the biggest of all cats, but has it been that way throughout time?
