Are animals such as mules and other hybrid species given scientific names? Because in order for an animal to be considered a living thing it has to be able to reproduce but these crossbred animals are sterile. Are they given scientific names such as (canis familiaris)?

Who would win? If you watched jurassic park before, keep in mind that an average Velociraptor is actually half the size of those seen in the movie, so a Velociraptor is actually smaller and lighter than any of those big cats. Who would win in a fight? Who's faster and who's stronger?

Everyone says they really carry no disease because all they do is suck cow blood and drink water, and they really don't bite. Is this true?
(I know someone who's wanting to get one, NO, NOT me!!!!)

I've tried looking it up but can't seem to find it. I thought it was a wolf spider but I don't think the eyes are the same. I live in Colorado and this spider crawled out of the grass near the water spigot.

I feel bad. I read that flies can give you all sorts of nasty diseases. It was immobilized in the sink and I gave it to the spider that lives near some plants and it started to eat it. I heard the fly buzzing trying to get out :(. What have i done? Was it wrong to impede on nature?

I live in North East Ohio. I was next to some wooden fence. And I saw a very small bee-looking nest. It was about half the length of a $ bill. I took it off the fence. And I thought that no bees lived in it. Then I squished it. And really weird spider came out and it freaked me out big time. So did that spider build the nest or did it rent it out?

It was so very tiny, just about the size of a broken shoe lace, charcoal colour with a tiny yellow or white spot on top just behind its head. It was on the bike trail in a park, eating ants and warming up in the sun

Alright. I have been visiting this area now for 5 years or so. Same area about the same time of the year. (August). I saw this insect that looks a lot like some sort of scorpian, but cannot identify it. It has two long antenas and 6 legs. It has a stinger (or what looks like one) on its back end.
Pictures are at these links.

Sometimes there are hydras in my freshwater aquarium. until this point I didn't know that was possible. How did they get here? Months go by and I see none then I will find several. What are they eating, they are smaller than pencil lead? Are the significant in any way? Are they always there but usually eaten by my fish?
